Jason Rothgeb Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I was able to do this back in May of last year, but since then either things have changed or I've forgotten how to do it. I pasted in the address from the "Share on other websites" option in the window that popped up when I clicked on the insert image icon. What I got was a message saying "No dynamic images allowed" or something like that if that isn't the exact language. What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance, Jason
Gregg Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Jairus did a good tutorial a while ago: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7947

Thanks in advance, Jason Very simple: You have spaces between the IMG tags and your url. Trust me.... Been there, done that, got the T-shirt Thanks,
Ariel Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) Hey jason I've been having problems also. not only here but in other sites as well. I have paid for my yearly subscrption an for some reason i have the word free in the url for the pic. http://images33.fotki.com/v1119/free/65df8....jpg?1201959375 I just tried to post a pic also and it says: Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed and I have no spaces in between the Ariel Edited February 8, 2008 by Ariel
Harry P. Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Switch to photobucket. Free and user-friendly.
Ariel Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I got it to work by following Bob downies idea. I deleted everything past the .jpg http://images33.fotki.com/v1117/free/65df8....jpg?1201467221 (WON'T WORK) http://images33.fotki.com/v1117/free/65df8...DSCN0407-vi.jpg (WORKS) Hey Bob thanks Ariel
ismaelg Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Glad you made it work. It always has to end with the .jpg (or any other picture format) extension. If you right click the image and check on properties, you need to delete whatever is after the .jpg extension. In Jason's case, he is using the "share photo" button, which includes 1 blank space at the front and 2 at the end when you copy and paste. I think that may be on purpose to prevent automated scritps to hijack picture URLs. Thanks,

Pictures of my three most recent builds will be forthcoming this evening.
RatRod Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Sheeeeeesh, Fotki sounds tricky!! I agree with Harry, use Photobucket........So easy a Caveman could do it.......lol.
Ariel Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Switch to photobucket. Free and user-friendly. Photo bucket is blocked from my work so if you display a pic I can't see it. Ariel
