BubbaJoe Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I finally finished the 62 impala , almost 2 months to complete it and i'm happy to be able to move onto my next build. detailed the engine a bit. used embossing powder for the interior, BMF all the trim, 3 coats of clear wet sanding in between coats and a final polish. Sad to say i lost a couple of parts. one door handle and the rear emblem were lost while trying to glue them on. forever lost in the jungle of the floor. .let me know what you think. thanks for taking the time to look Edited February 15, 2015 by BubbaJoe
6ohMax Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Awesome, my Dad's first car was a 62 impala back in 69 or 70....i believe he said it had a 327 from a corvette and a 2 speed power glide
Guest Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 What you can see looks good, but the pics are dark. A suggestion, plug wires do not go up in a fountain like that, they should drape down the sides of the distributor.
o-man Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 A little better light would be nice, but I do like what I see
BubbaJoe Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 thanks for the kind words... Lee, how do you get the wire to drape down. i know what it should look like , but not sure how to accomplish it. i tried pulling the copper out of the wire but all it did was kink . i appreciate the help. thanks oscar, i know i need a better light source when taking photos. if it wasn't so cold outside , i would have taken it out on the deck to take a few pics .
DeeCee Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Very nicely done Joe, the interior looks superb.
