FenderMender Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Here are a couple of dual-engined dragsters that were built in the 1960s. One was a "stock" kit and the other was custom made. The stock kit black dragster has Corvette engines. The custom blue dragster has two flathead engines. These two have survived for forty years +.
Tim Pentecost Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 WOW!!! Way cool! So what are your plans for them? Leave as is, restore 'em, or do a clone using your skills you have today. None of my stuff survived intact from then. I only have 2 pieces that made it, a '32 Vicky and a '57 Chevy. TimP

And I'm still fond of them all, so for now, will leave them as is. (I have posted some pics of others elsewhere on the site)
Mark Brown Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Here's one I just finished a couple months ago. It's mostly box stock AMT Double Dragster, with scratchbuilt headers and wheels/tires from the old Edmunds modified kit. Instead of getting all wrapped up in superdetailing, I only added plug wires to it, along with belts and a couple other items.

(I have posted some pics of others elsewhere on the site) Oh, OK. I just wondered was all. The 2 cars I mentioned were "rekitted" when I got them. Pieces are missing from both. I thought that, someday, I might restore them to original condition and then do another build of them using the skills and technology we have today. Then I'd display them together, sort of a 'then and now' type. OR maybe not. TimP
