Roadrunner Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Just found these gems from my youth, they must be over 40 years old. I always feared I had inadvertently thrown them away, but discovered them this afternoon while cleaning out an old hobby drawer. The tubes are not in the best shape, but all five are full! I'm happy as a hog in a sty.
Ramfins59 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 That's a great find Kevin. It's always cool to find stuff we've thought was lost forever.
Mikevango Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Cool! I'd build a car around that green color.
Casey Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Looking forward to seeing what you use that pink flocking on.
bill_rules Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Real men aren't afraid of pink, Casey. I'd like to have some of the pink flocking for this.... Hosted on Fotki
disabled modeler Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Its always nice to find something that reminds us of those fun care free days of our past....at least then we get to revisit for awhile....
Casey Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Real men aren't afraid of pink, Casey. I'd like to have some of the pink flocking for this.... I have seen similar bright flocking colors from other companies, too, but rarely see them appear on models, be they pink, purple, green, etc., so I would like to see someone use it, just to see how it looks.
Roadrunner Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 I'm not real sure if I'll ever use it, though I certainly did when I was younger. These flashes from my carefree younger days, are such a wonderful reminder of a time of my life that I'm very fond of.
Draggon Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I found a tube of that pink and some turquoise in the bottom of a junkyard I got from ebay. Looks as "moldy" as yours, too. I guess now I'm going to have to find a use for them!
Nova-ss Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Cool colors.I don't know I would ever use bright colors in the interior. Do you think they will be able to be used and still work?

No reason they wouldn't. And if excess was well shaken off, should be able to paint it too (airbrush at low pressure). I may have to do a pimp car, and have the entire interior flocked.
