TheRX7Project Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Is it just "Pledge Floor Care - Finish" now? I'm trying to find some but can't.
Drake69 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) You should find them as... It will ALWAYS be an acrylic wax FINISH, not a CLEANER. Cleaners have ammonia and other chemicals that do terribly nasty things to a model car body. It will ALSO be CRYSTAL CLEAR COLORED, not yellow or some other off-color. When in doubt, read the label on the back and look for the Future atomic logo. It is almost always printed on the back side of the front label, meaning that you are looking through the bottle to read it (which is a cool sales tactic actually...). Edited March 2, 2015 by Drake69
TheRX7Project Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 I have that bottle but it does not have the Future atomic logo anywhere front or back. I hope it's the same thing. I tried if on some spare clear parts and it seems to work. Never tried Future before but I think I'm going to give it a try on my current build.
Miatatom Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Let us know how it comes out. I'm trying to master acrylics and Future as well.
jbwelda Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 ammonia will not harm plastic or, in my experience, most resin parts. you use ammonia to remove future if you want to start over with it. jb

You can use Windex to clean any heavy buildups from too much Future. I actually just did that on my Christine build when Future had collected along the bottom areas of the doors on each side. After wiping off the Windex and extra Future and letting it dry, you can then lightly brush Future back on to return the panels to their clean glossy look again. Thanks for the correction!
