Ira
BOD MODS 2!!! I cut a Seat Support and Rear Pan from sheet plastic. They are just a little wider than the Frame... The Dotted lines are where I will be bending the sides in. Here are the 2 New Parts glued in place! I cut a small piece of plastic for the top of the body and bent the sides in to meet it. Then it was glued in place with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label. Rear View... More Bod Mods Coming...
Ira
BOD MODS 3!!! I bent the 2 sides of the top in and put some Zap-A-Gap glue on the joint, then I put some Baking Powder on it. That held the top sides together, then I added a small triangular piece of plastic to fill the hole... I made a cardboard template of the rear open space, and transfered the shape to .080 sheet plastic. I soaked the New Piece in hot water to help the bending go easier. Here is the Rear Filler Piece in place. I cut it in half to make the job easier. I had to add a third piece in the middle to fill the gap... More Bod Mods Coming... Ira
UP ON TWO WHEELS!!! I added a short length of plastic tubing to each end of the axle to make it wider. I found some brass tubing that fit inside the rear axle, but it doesn't fit the rear wheels... I used the next two larger sizes of aluminum tubing to reduce the rear wheel hole size. I cut short lengths of tubing to fit inside the holes and glued them in. Now the Wheels will Fit! Here are the Wheels & Tires in place on the New Axle. I cut out the outside edge of each Fender so they will clear the rear tires. I cut both Fenders off at a point, to match each other. Then I cut 2 strips of plastic, bent them and glued them on the inside edge of both Fenders.
