JPolli
Might anyone know if there are plans of a reissue for the MPC Mack Tractor and Rex Mixer kit in the near future ? Jim Polli
Jim B
None that I've heard of. I don't think they are planning to reissue the DM800 any time soon.
Fat Brian
The DM800 was out fairly recently as a tractor from the Model King.
disabled modeler
Id love to see that kit make a comeback....built it as a kid would love another chance at one...and others.
Bennyg
I hope to see it out again. Ben
Fat Brian
I have the Model King issue and I think it has the camelback rear suspension, I'll have to check when I get home. The mixer version has basically a solid rear end with walking beams.
Bennyg
The walking beams come with the Mixer, both Paystar and DM 800. http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/amtertl/31008_international/ Different kind of walking beam suspension though. Fat Brian
That's the one I was talking about, I didn't know that it was included with the mixer parts or even in the Paystar kit. I had bought an old DM800 mixer buildup and just knew it had a different rear than the tractor kit.
Bennyg
I'm not talking about the Paystar suspension. The DM 800 walking beam for the mixer is on the mixer parts trees. This is the tree with the DM mixer walking beam parts. Look at the bottom of this picture.... This is from the Paystar re-issue in 2001 Cheers for that. I stand corrected and feel really silly as I sold mine. Lol Ben
disabled modeler
Which mixer truck kit had the Rex mixer...?
Superpeterbilt
Which mixer truck kit had the Rex mixer...? The Mack DM800, and the Paystar 5000 have the Rex mixer. The KW is the only kit to have the Challenge mixer.
Jim B
Which of the DM kits came with the 80000# hardbar suspension, or am I just imagining things?
Superpeterbilt
Which of the DM kits came with the 80000# hardbar suspension, or am I just imagining things? Jim, I have all versions of the DM800 and they all have camelback, and the mixer has the beams. If your referring to the hard bar set up that A.I.T.M. sells, I believe that was scratch built by Rick Mark. RNK used to cast it before Dave. Guest
I always wanted to see AMT release an Autocar mixer. Take the Challenge mixer from the KW and mate it to the Autocar dump kit without the Montone body. Lengthen the frame rails as needed and you pretty much have it. Autocars were by far the most popular and most common mixer trucks around when I was a kid, even more common than a Mack. Maybe it was a regional thing, the Greater Boston and New England area has always been "different" when it came to trucks.

Bennyg
I will have to get another DM800 mad paystar mixer just for this.... Hopefully they just re release it. Obviously have the parts trees for it to happen. Ben

Ben Maybe they will reissue the DM 800 Mixer kit as well as the DM 800 tractor, the DM 600 is out and the dump trailer is coming soon so you never know
