I have been out of modeling for a while now. All of my paints will need to be replaced. I always used Testors enamels since they are the cheapest and easiest to find. Now that I am starting over, I thought about trying Model Master or Tamiya. I can't get Tamiya locally. I don't have an airbrush. I've read that the acrylics work well with a brush and I've also read that they don't. I tried Testors acrylic years ago and I could not cover with it at all. Is it worth switching to one of these brands, or should I stick with the Testors enamel?

I like MM Enamels I have some MM acrylics but have had hit and miss success with them.

It is hard to beat Tamiya sprays even if you had to order online, and you might want to consider getting an airbrush it can make a world of differnce no matter what you are shooting.

I have switched from Testors to Tamiya. I like the Tamiya spray cans as well as their brush paint. The main reason I like their brush paints is the bottles.I have a hard time with Model Masters and Testors after I use them the lids always get stuck and the paper washer in the cap comes out.I am also a big fan of Testors and Model master spray cans.

I recently tried Tamiya sprays for the first time and I must say I'm very impressed. I found myself thinking "Wow, this is like an airbrush in a can!" The only complaint I have is that they don't seem to have the spray-can colors in available bottles. If they do, I haven't been able to find them.
