Harry P.
According to a recent geographical study, Florida is the flattest state in the country, and Illinois is second flattest. Woo Hoo! We're Number Two!
Scalper
that would explain the sink holes in Florida.. soon to be the deepest state.

High octane
Being a "flatlander" I was very careful when I was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Harry P.
Being a "flatlander" I was very careful when I was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway. Me too! There are some pretty scary stretches along that road where you can't even see the side of the road while you're driving... just ocean! High octane
I wasn't scared, just careful as it was quite a bit different than the Midwest roads that I'm used to.

Harry P.
So Harry... Speed bumps gives everyone in your state the heebee jeebee's? I guess a speed bump would be the highest point in Illinois!
Harry P.
I'm not sure how they figure Illinois is the flattest state (besides Florida). Actually, northwestern Illinois (where the glaciers missed) is fairly hilly. Not mountainous, but obviously not flat, either.

Harry P.
Ok, I knew that "survey" sounded off, so I looked it up. The flattest states (least distance between lowest and highest point)... 1. Florida (sea level-345 feet): 345 feet 2. Delaware (sea level-448): 448 feet 3. Louisiana (-8 below sea level-535): 543 feet 4. Mississippi (sea level-806): 806 feet 5. Rhode Island (sea level-812): 812 feet 6. Indiana (320 feet above sea level-1257): 937 feet 7. Illinois (279 feet above sea level-1235): 956 feet I guess those guys didn't know what they were talking about! We're number 7! We're number 7! High octane
Don't worry Harry, as a LOT of people don't know what they're talkin' about on any given subject.
madhorseman
According to a recent geographical study, Florida is the flattest state in the country, and Illinois is second flattest. Woo Hoo! We're Number Two! Harry, how can this be true? I was in Blue Island recently, and there was a sign that read: "Blue Island, The City on a Hill". So not only is Chicago the second city, but Illinois is the second state, too!!! Edited June 21, 2014 by madhorseman
High octane
I told my wife that I'd take her to the islands, however, Blue Island and Stoney Island were not what she had in mind.

High octane
Yeah the submarine races as well as the UFO sightings. One time I was with a young lady lookin' for UFO's and we saw the clan havin' a meetin.'

FASTBACK340
Oh, come on now! Florida is not land! My sister has been living in that backward, forsaken state for a few years now. Being the "flattest" is the most positive distinction I've heard about that state in a loooooong time!
