OldsklMike
So I have the weekend off till after the New Year and decided to build an altered dragster. Started with a chopped resin 34 ford and a motor from the Tony Nancy Jr. kit. This is what it looked like at 6pm tonite. This is what it looks like as of midnite when i stoped for the nite. This is the first mock up and i will have some parts painted by tomorrow nite. Later
MoparMarc
Now that is going to look tough. Where did the resin piece come from?
OldsklMike
Not sure where I got the body its been in my stash for at least 5yrs. Sorry Got alot more work done today and started the painting process.. Here's the last mock-up before paint and I think the stance is dead on.. And just a quick look at it with some painted parts. Did some more work after this last pic and the body is ready for painting in the morning. While thats drying I will get the completed chassie and engine together. More tomorrow.. OldsklMike
Well spent the day painting and got nothing to show for it.. It was dumped in the purple pond after the secomd coat of clear was applied. The clear got a hammered finished look, to much to polish out. So I finished the motor and got a good start on the interior. The headers will get there finial bend once in the frame. Body color will be the same as the injector scoop. Krylon Metallic Canyon Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome. Later
ramonesblues
Looks like the old Mooneyham and Sharp 554 car. I love '34 five windowa!!
OldsklMike
Well, painting the body for the second time was the charm. The pic shows how nice it came out, with out even being polished out. Wheels and tires are always subject to change before the finial build is complete. I'm really liking the wide whites.. Later
mikelo
I like where this one is going. Great job on the paint. That is a great color. (did I miss what paint it is?)
Robert81
DON'T POLISH IT!!! How many old sckool drag cars have mirror paint? I love it just the way it is, wheels and all.
MoparMarc
The paint came out great, nice job.
John Goschke
That's looking great! Nice color and I love the WW slicks! Very impressive engine, too. The out-of-scale spokes on the front wire wheels don't help, maybe some spindle-mount Halibrands, instead?
Randy Kern
Hey Mike, lookin' good. Love the color! I would go with the spoked front wheels from the Bantam Blast (or Winged Express) kit. Not a whitewall guy, but I know you like 'em! That motor with those headers looks cool, too.
RatRod
That is sooooooooooooo freekin' awesome Mike!!! Can't wait to see it finished!!!
Raul_Perez
That's looking great! Nice color and I love the WW slicks! Very impressive engine, too. The out-of-scale spokes on the front wire wheels don't help, maybe some spindle-mount Halibrands, instead? I agree!! The overall scheme, the paint and the motor look great!!! I'd also change the front wheels...the out-of-scale spokes just don't hold up to the level of the rest of what you've done (IMHO)...
RatRod
A set of Machined Aluminum Specialties wires, or 12 spokes would do the trick!!! I've also seen some nice resin 12 spokes that look pretty awesome too. But what ever you choose, it will look badd ass!!!
