Railfreak78
Slug bug black! Cool little bug. Did this kit have the decals for Herbie?
Guest
That is sweet. How about engine pics? Railfreak, the kit comes with stickers for Herbie, no waterslide decals. I understand the need for stickers for kids, but they should have included waterslides for adults, like they did with their Star Trek USS Enterprise kits. I built one, you managed to add the mirrors. I couldn't figure out how to add them And I wish I had shopped around for aftermarket decals instead of those pathetic stickers! At least you don't have to deal with that.
Foxer
Good looking bug ..much better than "Herbie". Have any shots from the rear?
VW Dave
A quick tip: if you still have the molded 'sunroof' part left over from the PL kit, it fits the Tamiya '66 Beetle very well.
tuffone20
Very nice and clean looking bug you have there.
Jon Cole
A quick tip: if you still have the molded 'sunroof' part left over from the PL kit, it fits the Tamiya '66 Beetle very well. That's another thing, if anyone builds the PL VW, cut the tabs off the 'fabric' sunroof cover, and fill in the related holes in the roof. The part doesn't fit flush, and both are visible after completion Edited February 25, 2010 by Spyder
GeeBee
Very nice bug, never seen this kit before, colour suits it well ...

70elcamino
Thanks for the kind comments, it was fun. Not really any detail to the engine area, Just one of those I wanted to build to replicate a car that I owned at one time. Russell
