Wheels
Here's a model I have wanted to build for a longtime. I pulled this model out to start working on it again. I started with a RMR resin cab and will be finished with parts from AMT's '55 Chevy Street Machine kit. Replicas & Miniatures Company of Maryland's Resin Alcoa Wheels were used. I shaved the door handles and added a cowl hood by combining parts from my parts box. My original idea. Hosted on Fotki I started to add '55 stepside fenders to the Cameo P/U bed. I didn't like what I saw so instead I will use more modern fenders from a '96 Chevy Dually kit and do more body work to get it how I like it! Hosted on Fotki Fenders are starting to come together nicely. Hosted on Fotki Lookin' pretty sweet so far! jeffs396
I saw this baby at the NNL east in April on the primer table...loved it! Glad to see you've got it back on the bench Mark!
Wheels
I had considered building this as a curbside. Now, I have changed my mind and I going to drop a big block into Double Nickel. I have a 427 from the AMT '67 Impala SS kit. I'm thinking the engine will be painted chevy orange w/ no chrome. Hosted on Fotki The interior pieces are coming together. Need to determine colors inside and out. Hosted on Fotki Worked on the rear bumpers also today. Romell R
nice build although I think the first fenders give it a more vintage look and feel. Keep up the good work!
hd2500gmc
Nice build you have here the stance looks great, the fenders flow nicely with that body style......... Where did you get those wheels???
Wheels
They are resin Alcoa wheels done by Norm Veber at Replicas & Miniatures Company of Maryland. I'm not sure if the price is current but these are the last set I bought from him. They are of excellent quality! Hosted on Fotki They look real good when painted up! surfjunke
Great build so far. The rear fenders really change the look & flow nicely into the bed. Nice stance & those wheels are very cool. This should turn out awesome. Please keep it going.
