Topics I've Started

Did a TV Show/Movie get you interested in cars/models?

16 November 2014 - 06:24 PM

For me it was THUNDER ROAD with Robert Mitchum. That '57 Ford hauling "Shine" and ripping through that roadblock got me going when I was in grade school back in the '60s. I lost count of how many '57 Fords I've built since then. For TV shows it was "HIGHWAY PATROL" with Broderick Crawford.

Train full of 1/25 Chevelles

07 February 2014 - 07:55 PM

I'm a model railroader beside building model cars. I subscribe to an online hobby magazine, and found this on their Youtube page. Thought you all would get a kick out of it. Fast forward to 6:00 to view the autorack full of Chevelles.

1962 Plymouth Fury Nostalgia Super Stock

20 January 2014 - 07:54 PM

Following Steve Prideaux's lead, I've modified a Lindberg Dodge chassis to fit my '62 Jo-Han Plymouth Fury. The chassis mod was easy following what Steve did, and worked really well. I'll post a few pics for now, and do updates as I go. My only regret is that it's molded in red.

MCW 1965 Satellite pics.

20 January 2014 - 06:20 PM

Here's my MCW 1965 Satellite fresh from the box. There are 3 bags full of parts, and a nice set of instructions with a color swatch. This kit was designed from the Lindberg 1964 Plymouth, and requires that kit for the chassis, etc. I'm very pleased with this resin kit and the speed that Dave got it to me. Thanks Dave.

Mopar Underhood Decals

18 January 2014 - 07:30 PM

What do you guys use for the underhood decals on your Mopars? The yellow core support decal, The air cleaner decals? VIN plates? I think this would be a good product for a person with the ability to print decals. A whole sheet of detailing decals with many to choose from and repeats, like half a dozen of each.

Model railroaders have had these types of decals available for years..
