Topics I've Started

Done for a while

17 April 2013 - 08:20 AM

Need to take a break.

Don't know when I'll come back to building, but I will at some point. It's far too stressful for someone like me who has a temper. Between working on my 1:1, school, and job, I just simply don't have a lot of time right now.

I'll still check back on the forum once in a while, but for now I'm boxing all my models till I get the "bug" again.

Thanks

Andy

Built this one for the Cannonball Run down in the CBP section.

Some of the things I tried on this build might have been a bit over my head, so that's why some things look Mickey Mouse  But I had a good time building it.

Thanks for looking!

'70 Camaro

19 October 2012 - 07:09 AM

I'm breaking my silence with this one...

After trying to build a model in a month for the Gearz contest, I got burnt out. Suddenly I got inspired to work on this, which was sitting in my stash.

I'm really trying to pay attention to details on this one, I want it to turn out nice...

^That's my first true wiring job. Really glad with how it came out :)

I'm going to detail the chassis with parking brake cables, fuel lines, etc., but I can't really find much info on it. So I guess I'll keep searching

Thanks for looking!

Functional Parts?

17 October 2012 - 01:58 PM

Just curious as to what people have done for functioning parts (Hood hinges, latches, wipers, etc.). I'm building an AMT '70 Camaro and I'm trying to detail it to the levels of what MrObsessive would do (OK, probably not gonna happen, but I'll try anyway). An idea I had was functional windshield washer squirters that used a balloon in the trunk-similar to that of how 1:1 old VW Bug washers worked.

So, what functioning parts have people put on their models?

I guess the hard work paid off...
