Yeah I wish. I also build Aircraft and Armor, and I use acrylics through my airbrush so you can imagine how that goes. -
Peterbilt 377

Lookin good. Mine is still in progress too. I'm smoothing the cab and sleeper. Stretched the living daylights out of it too. Makes me want to pick it up and start working on it again, seeing this one. I can't advise on the wheel/tire thing however as I haven't gotten that far into mine. Want to make sure the bodywork and chassis workout before I tackle what could be used as parts for other rigs if the bodywork doesn't work out. -
My new little truckin buddy, arrived early!

Best way to get them in is don't start buying it all up for them. Let them watch and dream and tell them no for a couple of years and then for christmas, BOOM, and let it go from there. Worked like a charm on both of mine. -

On Page 3 was scratchbuilders stuff, so here this might help. https://www.dropbox.com/s/utsifpe38klg537/Scale%20Calculator%2001beta.zip?dl=0 It's a scale calculator for Windows. I created it, and it appears to work fine. If anyone notices anything with it let me know. I don't plan to ever charge for it, it's 100% free. -

Awesome. My oldest was a little early, and was a lightweight too. With 4.11 gears though he can really get lost.(Yeah shameless beverly hillbillies plug). This your first one? -
Too many gun or ammo malfunctions today when I went shooting. GGGRRR

I'd like to echo all of this. Some specific Mentions My mother, who spent her time in the USAF watching the radar scopes My cousin Dennis Boley, Currently NHRA Divisional tech inspector and Racecar driver, but Formerly Navy. My Grandfather 25 year Army Veteran. Passed on a few years ago, but he lived just long enough to see his first Great Grandchild(my oldest son), not for his second(my youngest son) My cousin Gail Davis, who died in Vietnam at LZ Xray, in IA DRANG. Think of the movie We Were Soldiers. He died day 2 of that hell. To every service member who gave all they had just one time.

CLAYTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I know right? It's a big Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment. Well I've got my American and POW flags hanging up from my balcony for today, and am going to go out and go shooting today while it's still legal to do so, will be illegal in 60 days, unless it's your own. You can't even show your buddy the new gun you just bought anymore, it's illegal. Ok rant on that over. Have fun today fella's.

It's either Testors one coat or custom lacquer. sitting in brake fluid I mean I can scrub and scrub and scrub with the toothbrush(stiff bristle), and while you can see the brush turning a little red from it, it doesn't seem to do anything to the paint on the surface. I can only conclude that at this rate it would be 2-3 years soaking in this stuff. The paint just was not reacting well at all, which maybe it's a formulation issue in this batch. Might have something to do with it's difficulty in removal. I've never had any sort of an issue with any of this paint before. I'm at a loss on this one. -

That is just horrible, making the rest of us look so bad. LOL. Seriously though that is awesome. They should be injection molding stuff liek that, that people want to see, not the same old subjects revisited. Moebius has taken a chance on the 18 wheeler stuff and has done well. Can't tell me AMT is hurting from reissuing that stuff either. Great job on it. I'd never be able to get the gooseneck straight or the curves to match from side to side. You going to use that big dozer as the load when it's done? -
I've not had a problem with humidity and clear. I live in Oregon(yes it does get hot here 113 degrees) it's also very humid, it is the pacific northwest afterall. There are any number of things that could affect it though. I'll have to start paying attention to techniques, I just learned without really paying attention to what I was doing different. I used to have the issues though. I doubt I'll have much time to do anything in Phoenix. I think it's pretty much wake up, get some grub go training, go get some grub go back to motel pass out. Repeat. I can put a face to the name I've just been too lazy to do so. I do some photography afterall. Although I wouldn't risk destroying my good camera by taking a picture of my mug. I'll put one up for my avatar here though. However I think every photo I have of what I look like now has a gun in it.

I think I'm going to have to take him up as the brake fluid doesn't seem to be doing anything to it either. Though I have narrowed the color choice. Krylon Shortcuts purple, or Chrysler Bright Sublime Green from back in the day, which would really make the thing POP! -
Looking good. I guess without the engine work that thing goes together quickly. I've done Star Trek decals(as in the aztec pattern) so I can imagine what a PITA those friggin things were. Still not a Volvo fan by any stretch but it's lookin good. JT I know what you mean we have one up the road a few minutes from me as well. Except that I intend to drive for them. Hopefully I'll be quitting my current job at Sprint effective about June 7th.
