  1. Removed the wheel wells, added a gas filler to the rear, and made holes where the side trim was removed. Added some bits to the driver's seat. Custom made roll bar.
  2. The mill from the Merc went into a Hot Rod and I had a goofy idea to put in a Viper engine. I chopped the top (first time) using a tutorial. This was before the pre-chopped kit came out. The V10 fit well with little mods. Used Faskolor airbrush paint and some Fuzzy Fur. Exhaust tips are Aluminum. edit: I added a pic of the chassis. The only mods I did was add the Viper radiator and widened the front of trans tunnel a tad.
  3. Kinda sorta a drag car. Used Faskolor airbrush paint and some Fuzzy Fur.
  4. Don't feel bad Chris. The last kit I found at a yard sale was a Triumph TR4A for a dollar - about 5 years ago. All I saw this past weekend was a Revell train kit and 5 planes. Nothing on CL either.
  5. I recently posted a BRE 510 from the original kit, and have a 1:1 BRE clone (sort of). I would like to get some decals for the #85 dime but all I could find were 1/32 scale.
  6. Almost looks like the dime I got in 1980 except it had a vinyl top and a head in the trunk.
  7. I saw the real deal several times when I was a young'n. I began this build after I found out that Bob Perry was gone. This build was Outside of the box. Scratchbuilt body from plastic sheet, chassis from the Piranha kit. Aluminum tubing for the headers. You can't see it but I even made a V-drive for the trans. Paint isn't close to the 1:1 so don't be too harsh.
  8. Very creative - and sick!
  9. It was only my second resin body and have heard that some castings were made poorly so I made a joke. I drilled the holes with a wee drill bit. It's a Hendrix casting. Minimal flash and no putty needed.
  10. The inspiration for these builds came from an 8 of clubs card, and a story my auntie told me decades ago. The '31 and '27 fords are box stock. The '34 Ford Tudor is a resin body and an AMT chassis. The flattie came from the Mother's Pies car. Had to lengthen the chassis and exhaust, scratchbuild the front bench seat (but you can't see much of it),and add a connie kit rear shelf. So, what do you do with a resin body with over a hundred pin holes? lol. Bonnie: We rob banks. Clyde: I like Fords. The Law liked Fords too. March 23, 1934
  11. Aloha all. I fixed up my 1:1 1971 510 into a BRE 510 tribute car (pic in avatar). Then I built the original issue BRE 510 from 1973. I'm not sure if the new issue will be a straight repop or not. The old kit was partially built, the body was warped, and the 4 wheels would not touch the ground when finished. Oil line tubing was included but was dried out and hard. I had to spray the decals with sealer as they were cracking. The one thing I would have done differently was painting the rear panel white before gluing it to the body.
  12. New to this forum, but have been at another forum for years. I've been building models since the late 60's. Will post builds soon.
