VW Beetle`66 "North Dakota Hippie Coalition"
Bucket T replied to Janne Herajärvi's topic in Model Cars
Cute little bugger. Nice, clean detail. -
I searched but couldn't find an answer. I thought I read a few weeks ago on this forum that someone suggested using material from an aftermarket source to use as a seat insert. I don't want decals. Looking for cloth. I saw some from scale motorsports but I don't think that was the company. I'll check at the craft store too in the meantime. Also would like to know if any place has something like a mini bear skin rug. Fluffy but in small scale.

Thanks for the info members. -
I'm rebuilding my 1/20 Bugs Buggy kit that's based on a VW. Any tips on what I could use for cv boots?

Nice detailing. Can't help you with photobucket. Been a while since I used it last. Tried to post recently and couldn't.

´29 Ford Pickup.
Bucket T replied to Toni L.'s topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
A buddy of mine has one almost just like this in the U.S. The only difference is the hot rod has green scallops on the sides. Nice build Toni. -
Picked up a sealed new MPC reissue 1967 GTO. 3 tires in a sealed bag. Have plans for a straight-liner anyway.

MPC Rod Shop 1/16 Corvette
Bucket T replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This one's next in line for a rebuild. All I need is a windshield, rt door handle, and decals. Not a fan of centerlines, so I will try to use the rims from the 65 Mustang. The 1:1 didn't have the centerlines anyway. -
Here's the pic G.

The trailer was built on the fly. Steve Scott was seeking submissions for a very short time a few years ago. I am almost finished with one that looks like the one he really used.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but you can always use drippings from surfboards too. My dad made a chessboard with colored and alternating white tiles. Hopefully the link works. I'm trying not to add a pic from my computer anymore, but photobucket is not cooperating with me.

I (re)built these a while back. I hope the links work. The green UCT was more than likely my first kit. The second T was just a box full of mess. http://so-yesterday.mysite.com/photo2_1.html http://so-yesterday.mysite.com/photo2_2.html

Another great build Steve.

Way cool Steve-o. Like the wrench door handle.

Very talented. Can't tell that you chopped it. Great build.

Nothing wrong with a 4-banger. Where did you get the webber carbs? Looks like a 1:1 I'd like to build.

Those who love rebuild old model kits
Bucket T replied to Nova-ss's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Good topic. Due to the subject matter, I haven't picked up a new kit in years, although new old tools are coming back slowly but surely. I rebuilt 2 Uncertain T's, a Thunderbug, and an old Edsel Unreal FC (just waiting to add decals). I plan on digging out my Bugs Buggy this weekend for a redo. I also have a large scale Vette (Rod Shop?) but it has a broken windshield. I'll have to look around the web for one or ask on this forum. -

I'm building a 74 Caprice vert that was a hardtop. Anyone know where I can get a boot? I made one out of leather, but I might just cut the rear shelf and put in a folded top.

After more than 40 years in my junkyard box, I pulled out pieces of this model for a contest. I managed to find all of the parts except the rooftop spike was missing. I made the spike, base, and surfboard.
