    awesome paint job! great model.
  4. how i got started to do models was my father in law found two kits in nov2018 a revell GM race car and a revell mustang lowrider with some paint that he didn't want so deciding i want to do a model i looked them over and didn't want to build ether. i once owned a Nissan D21 and saw a kit thought it would be cool and it was. it went over okay but i did not finish and looking for advice online i found the forums (this being my fav so far) after doing some serious reading i new i wanted to build something really nice and the d21 wasn't it. i bought a 67 chevelle AMT and finished it and I'm happy with it. now i have bought the 53 ford because it looked fun and had a lot of stuff for a fair price 19$ i also bought a 66 nova because it was only 10$ which i haven't opened. here i am and I'm ready to step my game up. the wiring job on my d21 looked like a child did it, which I'm not, as for the chevell i just wanted to get a model under my belt as done and did it box stock except for front tires. this kit has been really fun but once i started to build it as a service truck i instintly went to drag, because speed is more fun than work, so this is the second mock up i got a ruff idea for it from a drag video with a 53 ford sleeper that frigin smoked em! it was diesel and il be doing a gas job it also didn't have a bed which i want to use but i think it would be cool with out the bed and i could just buy another kit, and i will get another one of these, and try the old work truck another time. thanks for reading and advice and comments on style to choose is appreciated.
  5. For this build i was originally going to weather the whole thing but now I'm thinking i might do a sleeper kinda thing with some weather on the outside and clean "custom" engine and interior. for now I'm just working the chassis and body i lifted the rear with a extra leaf spring and lower the front a little with some sanding. I'm using the stock fenders that came with the kit and grill I'm going to do wood in the bed. thanks for looking and comments appreciated. Breezy
  6. This is such a cool read to follow along with a true professional. It's unreal. To many good things to list but.. The rear end is simple f*****g amazing, the fuel lines just speechless, photo's yup those too. Thanks for putting in the work to get this on here with such written detail asWell. I just re read it from time to time.
  7. This looks awesome killer. The blue makes those wheels pop! Burnt exhaust would look tight.
  8. Well I just had a kid so my ebaying is minimal right now. But I found a huge plane I will be using for sheet styrene and plan to try and make leaf springs etc. But is there anybody you specifically like on ebay?
  9. Thanks for the kind words. I hope to be more involved in your community in the future.
  10. A fav car of mine and a great job. Wish Windshield wipers were always separate.
  11. Great model. The passenger side shot looks great really nice photos
  12. That looks great. The yellow lights look really good with the blue. I'm working on a 53 Ford and taking my time with it. But I was going to try and lift the little Nissan just to try lifting a vehicle. I was trying to do to many things and kind of rushed it. My skills are improving day to day with the help of this forum and people like yourself.
  13. This is my first compleated build. second model. just box stock except the front tires which are from a lowrider and squished in the stock rims. Paint: folk art color shift body some testors black and red and some folk art black. i got some masking peeling on the front bumper. i learned alot and and just wanted to get one done so i didn't wire it or do much of anything i call it a skill build. happy with the results. all comments are welcome. i did not try to make it "real". not that i could. thanks to all you for insperation. i also am working on taking better photos.
  14. Thanks for the comments. I sprayed a clear with acetone in it on the body and completely ruined it. I need to strip the body and try again I moved on to a car ( also amt). I've only got amt kits and if I don't get a nicer kit then I'll never know the difference and the amt kits are cheap. I'm still working on getting good photos. So for now this is on the shelf. Also I should of done more dry fits. It's my first build and I will finish it.
