  1. The weather on the bottom is great and the front quarters are killer. This thread gets me stoked on building. Knocked em out the box with this already. https://binged.it/2G7xf24
  2. The lines on this are awesome. This is one of the coolest models I've seen this year. Great job.
  3. Wow! Happy birthday! What a gift... You have for building. Great model.
  4. This thing is sweet. Very cool came out amazing! They say it was as effective as 5,000 slodiers.
  5. getting started on a 66 nova and this kit is junk everything has flash and the body had some sink holes. i filled the gas cap and will be putting a fuel cell in the trunk which will be my first attempt at opening one. the passenger side quarter had a bad mold mark and that got filled as well. i have been upgrading my bench/lighting and now feel as though i can take a decent enough pic to try and do some updates here. i may do a study in black to see how my body work is. thanks for looking. comments always welcome. i should of got the 83 olds.
  6. In the process of paint, i have to set up and break down my airbrush, and the engine is coming along I'm going to use the stock flat head and save the other engine i went for a teal-ish enamel i enjoy hand painting and would like to master hand painted engines. the body a coat of white primer then a coat of grey primer with a silver base coat it will be a color shift purple/pink with black bumpers, step, chassis and getting inspiration from another 53 model i will be running the pipes down the bed. i guess i have the wrong wire size for plug caps and wires. i need a micrometer. i have gathered the material to cast distributers just need the correct wires. Thanks for looking. comments always welcome.
  7. Great scratch building going on here! As others have said the bed looks awesome one of the best I've seen. Very nice model.
  8. " no mistakes just happy accidents " - bob Ross. That dio looks sweet! love the jacket and the engine came out great.
  9. Beautiful. Knocked both those out the park. They should do another reissue with yours as the box build.
  10. That engine bay looks great. Nice photos with the dio!
  11. this is an awesome read. The rivers were the doldrums but I sailed on and it was worth it. Your work is amazing and your in-depth posts make it even more interesting. Those wheels are crazy very cool that fishing line will support the weight of the vehicle. Also the wavy pieces that receive the rivers are very well done. Happy to be following this now. Wonder what happened to frenchie 1500?
  12. This is great. Love the stencil on the side. Very cool.
  13. Glad this post was brought up to the front. Should be pinned for all the knowledge in here. This is amazing, what craftsmanship, you really got the look you described and referenced in the beginning I mean by the end you would think the magazine cover was of your build. Very inspiring. thank you for putting in the time to put it on here and just straight dropping knowledge out here.
  14. That is awesome. I was thinking about selling it so I could buy a couple kits i would like to build. But it might be fun to do something like that.
  15. both those look sweet. I've got a couple things going on but those a re good ideas for that. Yeah are dump is one of the best I've ever been to. Fairbanks Alaska's is crazy! But you could build a whole house every couple months here. Also the big screen tv's are out of hand.
  16. Nice photos. Looks like a vette to me. X2 on not seeing the flaws.
