  1. Thanks Kostas. The pup has a turntable on the front axle. Due to the small clearance between the front suspension and the bottom of the trailer, not a lot of detail is required here. The front suspension is attached to the bottom of a plasic plate with a hole in it, that would allow for the passage of air lines. Another plate of the same size with hole is attached to the bottom of the trailer frame. I then made a round disc with a hole in the middle, same size as the other holes. The holes are then held together by a small strip of C channel. The picture bellow shows a turntable for another project but gives the general idea. I hope this helps.
  2. Thanks guys for all the comments. Falcongeorge, good point on the lumber units. Good idea for next time.
  3. Cool! Daniel makes high quality products. Looking forward to seeing a built sample or five.
  4. Good to see it again Mark. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  5. Finished the Pete last week and picked up a load. The winches were made by Leo. I strapped the lumber down with ribbon from the fabric store. I added rings for the hook end of the strap using wire. I added "Kinedyne" label to the straps using my daughter's eye liner , (Doesn't run on the ribbon like a pen).
  6. Thanks. Fuel tanks are left over parts from a GMC Astro kit.
  7. Dennis, one more try at the hyper link http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e13/EngBernard/Models/ The frame is an almost stock Revell Pete 359. Color is British Racing Green. Thanks for the interest.
  8. Dennis, Here is a photo of the completed 362. More pictures can be seen here <http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e13/EngBernard/Models/?start=0>
  9. Thanks guys. Dennis, the Pete 362 cab is also an older Giriffen Designs casting that is no longer available. I believe some efforts are being made to bring it back, though I don't know who.
  10. While waiting for sticks to dry on my 352, I've picked this project back up. The cab is a resin casting I got from Spaulding years ago. I used an Italeri Mack Superliner frame (really a freightliner frame). To Mackify or de-Freightlierize the chassis, I ommited the suspension and installed a Plaskit Neway air ride suspesnsion. I also replaced a couple of the cross members with spare Mack cross members from an IH Paystar mixer kit. The two hole wheels are from Plaskit. Here are some earlier pictures of the frame before it was painted.
  11. Been slowly working on the load. Here are three units of lumber made with coffee stir sticks. Each unit has 198 sticks, and I'm planning on using 20 units. The units are cut down to 10 scale ft. and banded with black BMF.
  12. Very nice Sergey! Great details. Thanks for sharing them with us.
  13. Very nice Paystar! Great collection of parts from diffrent sources and great details.
  14. Got to spend a few hours there on the same trip. Not nearly enough time. Attached picture of a Pete logger that belongs to the Hays Truck Museum in Woodland, CA
  15. Very nice! And only a two day build? I'd have to be retired and the kids out of the house to get there. I am enjoying the logging history lessons. Went to the Collier Logging Museum near Klamath Falls a few years ago. Very neat!
  16. Thanks guys for all the comments. I've had a few days off work so some more progress. A bit more to go. Yeah Leo, the winches are on list of things to do. Just waiting for them to get here. Still need to scratch a headache rack and add a few other odds and ends. I am also waiting for my case of 10,000 coffee stir sticks to get here so I can start making lumber units.
  17. Got a little more done. Pintle hitch, gladhands, and electrical outlet are from Plaskit. I hope to finish painting the cab next week.
  18. Very nice Bill. Love the spread axle chipper. I figured you would beat me to building one of those.
