How old are you??

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm 65. Cop stopped me for smoking my tires ('55 F100) and told me I looked old enough to 'know better'. Then the imbecile asks me if it's my son's truck!

I still have all my hair...and my shades are cool. I got a young wife! And a Roadster with a Hemi!!!

I can't grow up...or 'know better'...I'm trapped in here!

So you are doing something illegal and the cop, who is doing the job that you pay him to do, stops you. And then you call him an imbecile. Nice...

It was SATIRE, TERRY. (it was also on private property, the cop didn't know the make, model, or year of the F100...and I had to explain that the smoke was from the tires, as he thought it was engine smoke. He was 'challenged' to be working traffic.

Ernest Hemingway won the Nobel prize in literature.

Frank Sinatra won an academy award

Alan Freed coined the term "Rock n Roll"

Rock around the Clock was released.

Elvis recorded "That's All Right"

Doris Day's "Secret Love" was the # 1 song in the nation

Play Doh, M&M's, & TV dinners were invented

Lee Petty was the NASCAR Grand National Champion

McDonalds & Burger King were born.

and I came home from the hospital in a 48 Plymouth.

Okay...I can accept that then. Sorry but the way it was written didn't sound like satire. And since it was on private property and he didn't know that smell was burning rubber....then he probably was an imbecile.

My apologies. It's just that after spending the best 22 years of my adult life out there "serving and protecting", those kind of comments get old if you know what I mean...

Actually Abe, this one wasn't such a bad machine IMO...................

I remember when these came out in the fall of '79 as an '80 model, and I liked it immediately! It was much better looking than the blocky 1975-79 car.

It was also one of the last cars to be designed by the late great Bill Mitchell who gave us such classics as the '63 Sting Ray, the '63 Buick Riviera, and '67 Camaro. At least for its time, it was instantly recognizable as a Cadillac!

This car's not to everyone's liking, but I would take one.............without the diesel or horrendous V8-6-4 engine! ;)

Bill, if you find a decent one, snap it up!

That car is an up-and-coming collectible...pretty much a no-lose investment.

The short-lived Chrysler Imperial of the same era had similar styling. Also a collectible, maybe even more so, as fewer were produced than the Caddy.

Yep, those cars had style. Like it or hate it, you can't deny they were distinctive.
