Painting cabs - inside first or ouside first ?

Recommended Posts

Ok -- newbie question.

When you are painting the cab, do you paint the interior first or the exterior first ?

My exterior is going to be blue and white, and the interior is tan.   So - what order do you typically paint them in ?

This is a cabover, so the inside area under the interior tub is going to be semi-gloss black.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm of like mind with Gino and Sean.  Being a "rattler", I usually prime inside and out first, then shoot the interior colors. I find it a bit easier to touch up any over spray or bleed through on the interior side rather than the other way around. As of the underside, I typically leave that in primer with color overspray (a la Mopar style).
