Goodwrench3
Ok -- newbie question. When you are painting the cab, do you paint the interior first or the exterior first ?My exterior is going to be blue and white, and the interior is tan. So - what order do you typically paint them in ?This is a cabover, so the inside area under the interior tub is going to be semi-gloss black. Thanks in advance for the help. gino
I always paint the inside first if I spray. if I brush paint then I will paint the inside last.
Old Buckaroo
Interior first for me, then I just use some painters tape on the inside behind the window openings when It comes time to paint the exterior.
Brinx
I'm of like mind with Gino and Sean. Being a "rattler", I usually prime inside and out first, then shoot the interior colors. I find it a bit easier to touch up any over spray or bleed through on the interior side rather than the other way around. As of the underside, I typically leave that in primer with color overspray (a la Mopar style).
tbill
i usually brush paint the inside of my cabs, being a small area that almost no one looks at, the brush strokes left [if any] aren't an issue in my opinion.
Chuck Most
I'll throw another "inside, then mask, then outside" on the pile. Only exception is if I'm brush painting the inside of the cab, then the outside will be painted first.
