Mattix2016
What do you guys use for 1/25 scrath frame rails? Thanks
KJ790
I use 7/16" I-beam and shave off the flanges on one side. This gives you nice 11" channel that looks like frame rails. I use Meng nut and bolt heads to add detail.
Mattix2016
Thank you! I'll give that a shot
Chariots of Fire
Soldered brass to form the frame rails. When put together to form the frame it is a very rigid platform to do the rest of the building on. Plastic frames can easily be warped and end up in a curve if they are not carefully put together. The biggest problem is spacing the frame rails perfectly parallel and in the same plane.
55pete351
Plus one on KJ's method ! it has worked really well for me. I would like to try brass especially when using heavier resin parts. Is there any tutorials available?

10thumbs
I fully agree that brass is a wonderful way to build excellent models. A whole new world opens up, and Charles, Chariots of Fire makes about the finest brass models that you'll find on the internet.Brass frames are an excellent idea. Strong, they look real, and quickly learned.
