afx
The book - The Cars of Trans-Am Racing tells the story of the lengths Ford went to in trying to convince the SCCA that these were regular production items - they wanted to run them on the Boss 302 Mustangs. Scroll to page 24. https://books.google.com/books?id=izsekDhTLxMC&pg=PA85&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q&f=false Edited June 2, 2018 by afx
Casey
Is the 1/24 Monogram '70 Boss 302 Mustang the only kit which contains this carb (carbs?)?

1930fordpickup
They made these at the Plant my dad retired from. He said they had those 4' by 4' crates full of them sitting around. Sure wish a few would have followed him home. Edited June 15, 2018 by 1930fordpickup
High octane
Did your dad have a big enough "lunch box" to bring home those carbs, or no?
1930fordpickup
NO darn it. LOL He started in 67 , may have not been brave enough. They did rebuild the carb for our 55 Ford bus up there. He talked to all the right people to get the OK. The engine was rebuilt he put the rebuilt carb on and it was smooth running after that. The lathe he ran for 30 years was old when he got there and still there when he retired. Right around the corner from heat treat and the white metal furnaces.
