I was planning on creating the box art version of the kit.  Does anyone know if the white stripe and star decals are opaque enough to prevent the base blue and red colors from bleeding through?

Thx in advance,

Joe

They probably are. I would ask Jerry if his have no bleed through. White, kit decals are notorious for bleed through.

The other alternative would be to mask the stripes and then paint allowing the white plastic to be the stripes.

The stars would be a little more complicated unless I can find some in a craft store to use as masks.

My (limited) experience with Model Truckin' decals is that the white was slightly opaque and allowed the red to show through on my R685ST.  I did purchase those decals a while ago, so things might have changed.  If you're concerned about bleed through with white decals, check out Microscale Decals.  I used them on my IVECO ladder truck with no bleed through of the red underneath.
