Cheers, Steve Thanks Steve. Yes, they are true works of art. 9 hours ago, gseeds said: In the early 80’s One of the first real cars I ever painted was a car just like your build, only it was white, original paint was lacquer checked , the hood, roof and trunk had to be stripped to bare metal, lot of work for a twenty year old kid, I never want to see that car again ! , but I could look at your build all day ! Nice job !! Wow Gary, that is a lot of work! You could probably melt down one of these old land yachts and make it into five Toyotas! I'm glad you like mine though, thanks for saying so. I have a few more photos I'd like to post for this one. I'll probably get them up today or tomorrow. David G.
David G.
Hello Everybody! Back in the WIP thread on 9/28/2021 at 12:52 PM, doorsovdoon said: "wow, she shines! Reminds me of a cast metal trophy. That would look awesome on a wooden plinth." It turns out that I actually have a plinth, well something like a plinth anyway. It's really the lid from a cremation urn that I got from work because it was damaged during shipping. So by Gareth's @doorsovdoon suggestion, here are some shots of the "Trophy Edition" of the 1959 Chrysler Imperial. And of course, my traditional Display Case Shot. That about wraps this one up. Thanks to those who offered their support, suggestions, comments and thoughts. I do appreciate all the feedback. David G.
