This is my next build Bobby Allison 1984 Buick , raced at Daytona

using Monogram Valvoline kit , Powerslide decals

Opened up front grill for  PE screen    ,  did sub assembly on chassis and motor , to get ready for paint

Interesting, what are you planning to use for screen on the grill. I always thought that was an area for improvement, but didn't know what to do. That was always the baddest looking Regal in Nascar

Using the Eduard # 00110  6x6 hex mesh , this seems to be close to scale

chassis is finished  painted with Krylon black gloss added seat bets and engine detail 

and body has been primed and painted Testors white gloss , waiting 3 days for drying  and will wet sand then apply decals

Decals have been applied , need to install windshield and hood pins  ,and will be ready for chassis

Model is finished , overall pretty easy built no major issues
