Len Woodruff
I need to do some roll & pleat dor panels. I need the pleats to be about .060 wide but only .020 tall. The 1/2 round .060 is .032 tall which is the right width but too tall. I need something that I can resin cast after I put it on the door panel. Thanks in adance for your help. Muncie
maybe this? 4060 - .060" OPAQUE WHITE POLYSTYRENE V GROOVE SIDING - Evergreen Scale Models
Len Woodruff
Thanks Steve. It's hard to tell. Spacing looks ok but it is too thick.
espo
Another option that I have used is from Plastruct. Their part #91519 O scale corrugated siding. The pattern is double sided and is very easily bent if need be. This is not a real clear photo but may give you an idea of how it may look. Len Woodruff
Thanks David. Looks like I need to make a trip to the hobby shop to check these out.
Plowboy
Len, how would it work to scribe in the pleats on your door panels? A few years ago, I scribed in some diamond pleats on the door panels of a '51 Chevy. It's actually pretty easy to do.
casassa
I think the Evergreen V-groove sheets are also available in .020" thickness. They aren't rounded like the corrugated siding, but look pretty convincing when installed. My $.02 JIM
Len Woodruff
The only problem is the V-grove shape is not the correct shape I need since the pleats need to be rounded on the sides.
