mackinac359 Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 A discussion on Hank's Truck Pictures forum about the Peterbilt cabbed Hayes Clipper COE's got me wanted to build another one. I had previously built one about 6 years ago scratchbuilding the grille and surround. This time I had the finely detailed etched metal grille, logos, and pieces from Spaulding Trading and Shipping to work with. Raw Cab Chassis built and cab main color applied Testing to see if I liked the black bumper better than the chrome one Ruined windshield? Nope Assembled and painted frame The finished Clipper - looking like it is sitting on the dealer lot waiting its first owner. As to the fairings on the front corners of the cab, did you make those by cutting a piece of tubing, or bending a flat sheet of plastic? Anyway, nice job.
