Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't blame me for not being able to go to Bama!!!! You drive yourself!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding....and when are you going to learn how to build models so you can win a trophy or two!!!!!

I must agree with Bob, that pics don't do this car, and all the engineering that went into it, justice. The subtle changes and little details you added really don't come out in the photos. The machine work is breathtaking and as usual, top notch from you. The theme award was a tough one to win. Especially with the incredible build from Bob and how believable that car was. Congrats on your win, but I think he was right behind you (very close!!!).

I am halfway to Tulsa (sounds like a country song) as I write this. I do have a new "gig" and will be in training for 4 weeks in Tulsa, and 3.5 in MN. Then maybe I can learn to fly again!!! :lol:

I wish I could be in B'ham. I would like to go to this show as I hear it is a good one. I still think ATL is one of the toughest, in terms of competition, that I go to. The talent seems to get stronger and stronger each year. Just when you think you can relax, Cunningham or Kemp or Vennable (SP?) brings something that makes you hang your head with humility and quietly walk out of the venue!!!

Great work as usual Dirk, and I can't wait to see what you have in store for this year in ATL!!!! :P:unsure::lol:;):P;)

Since you can't make it to B'ham, get yourself re-edmukated and pilot all of your friends in the party jet to Salt Lake next year ;) ;)

We all need to go next year...it's gonna be big. Dirk & this Camaro, and goodness knows what he comes up with before then, need to be there.

Ultraslick. I normally don't like this kind of car, but this shows great judgement and building skill in everything from the color choices to the fine detail work. Outstanding.

Ok Bob why is next year at GSL going to be bigger than last year?

Hard to say since I haven't been since '97 to compare to other shows, and I won't divulge anything that's not public knowledge, since a lot of people who build for the GSL like having an element of mystery and surprise as an integral aspect of their work...that's part of what makes it such a good show all the time, but my gut feeling is 2011 will be a show definitely not to miss, and even if it's no better than the others, it's always big and well worth going :unsure:

Well next year will be my 6 straight GSL so we shall see. Maybe Mark G. will have finshed the Dream Truck II or the T-Bird Italien or the ....?

:);):unsure::unsure:

Len you could alway build two identical cars so you can enter two classes. How about upping it to Three in 2011? :P

That's an idea but I must have ADD because one of any version is enough for me.

That sounds like a GREAT idea!!! We can carry our models on our plane the way WE want to, and put them in the seat next to us!!! I will be flying passengers now instead of boxes, so I'll have to see what I can work out. We are a contract carrier, so maybe I can get a discount rate and get a plane to fly around and pick up my friends and go to GSL. That sounds really neat!!!
