Sport Suburban Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Here is one I'm playing with. I had a new Revell ZR1 that I robbed a few parts from. What do you think of this project? I'm going to finish it but am not in a hurry. I painted it Tamia Racing white with Olds engine blue for the stinger and stop light red for the hash marks.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Looking great so far. I can't wait to see more.
jeff ewaskey Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Mmmm, a ZR1 drop top?? I dig it!!!!! Keep it goin Bro. Love the nod to the Grand Sport with the paint job. Looks sweet!
VW Dave Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I like it a bunch, and I'm looking forward to more updates.
Mike Kucaba Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I think you have too much time on your hands. You should come over and finish some of my models and help an old guy out! JUST KIDDIN' looks very nice.
brodie_83 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Looks like you painted some blue and red on a resin cast body. LoL waiting for more details before I say anything more...
Sport Suburban Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 It does look that way but it is painted an off white with the blue and red paint. The body is the kit body that I grafted the sunvisors and rear convertible bonnet from the resin body. Next is the carbon fiber decals under the hood on the rockers and front spoiler. I'm going to build it with carbon black wheels, red calipers and red seats.
Sport Suburban Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Mike, thats funny but I have a few hundred projects of my own. Jeff said it best. "Model builders are very optomisitic people, We have hundreds of projects in waiting and know that they take us a few months to do on average. We know we can't build them all but we don't stop trying!"
Tonioseven Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I dig it!!! And yes, we ARE very optimistic people!
