What bodies did they use to make the early 70s Montego resin?

Recommended Posts

I think the Montego & Torino were basically the same car. Start with a Revell '70 Torino. I've never seen a resin one, but they may have used the old early '70s MPC stock car body. Those bodies were MUCH closer to stock than what they run today. Thinking about it I seem to remember that MPC did a street '70 Cyclone which is the same car.

If you want a 70 Montego, and NOT Cyclone, just go to Missing Link resin casters(Part of DRAG) and see Kevins Montego. It is a GENUINE Montego, not a Cyclone, and he uses a resin that looks EXACTLY like Styrene plastic. I had to mark the resin peices with a Magic marker to tell them apart.I believe the cost is around 65 bucks or so, MUCH cheaper and ALOT LESS work that trying to find and convert a plastic kit!!! Hth! :D;)
