crazyrichard
yeterday i started by making smaller exhaust ends , the ones from the donorkit where way to big , the pipes themselfs where perfect then closed the front of the bed with a industrial looking plate / shape end added some styreen in the middle section (rough) then fitted the crane arm everything together and the arm can move so later on i can hang a car begind it , also will need hydro lines and stuff added on the cilinder
crazyrichard
today i added some railings and began with some diamond plate floorboards added some brackets on the arm and a brace between the exhaust pipes then made some motors with a axle , just a fantasy set up .. made a control thing (maybe will add more) and later on a will add hydro lines to the whole system put a spotlight on the arm so they can see in the dark (lol) and did some more diamond plating used a old dragster rollbar as a crane arm strut and the beginning of the hydro lines
crazyrichard
also painted the body today (after the previous update) getting more matt as it dry's it dry's very very fast (army green paint) and so i already tryed some detail painting in silver the green of the cab is the same paint , only with clear coat over it , look how difefrent the color is without clear on it i was thinkin of using these rims but also liked these , the green is acrylic paint and will come of real easy but i want dual tyres and i dont have that light brown paint anymore and then i could not make sleeves in color at the back (deep dish) so this will be the best option at the back and on the front just the wheel as it is then clear coated all the green

crazyrichard
thnx , going real fast today continued building up the engine , sanded the tyres , made the wheels with new rims and painted them added old style drumbrakes loose dryfit the rear will be higher that just sitting on the table
crazyrichard
gave the rims a wash very loose dryfit rear is not se to ride hight just laying on the table painted the scoop this morning the block itself is grey i sprayed chrome and brushed it with a dry brush the wheels going to do the woody theme on the bed as well between the railings and it will almost match the cab and run through
crazyrichard
tried something different on the headers multiple layers , due to the darkness while taking shots its not really showing , irl its more glossy i used grey as base , then watery gold , bit of blue , a tiny more gold and then very thin watery chrome
crazyrichard
well i painted the exhaust pipes dark grey i did not like the chrome and kept the end tips chrome .. i hated teh stance and the axle was mounted how it had to be for the 1953 kit , i already did that in the beginning , now i took a new axle and placed it more up front rear wheels are fixed on forgood already and with the front wheels loose on this is about the ride hight / stance with the engine and the grille loose in front of it then took chrome and painted the diamond plating silver this already shows betetr the clear coat on the green because now the silver creates reflections , i'll bet when i can make some good pics with daylight it all will show better Edited October 30, 2012 by crazyrichard

crazyrichard
i dont think a 1/25 scale person would fit in that you already mentoned you thought it was 1/32 on the previous page , i already finished this one ages ago so what you are saying is that revell makes 1/32 kits and sells them as 1/25 ?? because the cab is just a cab from the revell dan fink speed wagon .. the chop is from revell .. not trying to be a smartass but you seem to have some weird reference for the size the cab is as big as all my other rods ... just the front part of a stock speed wagon body with real wood instead of the plastic wood ... but this is actually a pretty ond thread wel since i'm here here is a finished picture it looks like there is few space behind the door but the seat is against the back wall and leg room is there Edited July 27, 2013 by crazyrichard
