Yahshu Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 This arrived today from Ron @ Resin Motor Replicas, the rims I had custom made by Jim @ MicroNitro, RB Motion stud nuts, resin low profile tires from Plaskitresin - ebay. I have a few other projects on the go at the moment so this one will be awhile, just thought I'd share. Ideas on colours etc welcome, just not yellow, lol.
txdieseldog Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 All kidding aside, your gonna be hard pressed not to do yellow because of the commonality of it. Not to mention that is what everyone else relates to. However, that being said, go with a classy yellow, or a one tone/shade off yellow that you can really put some accent to.
doggie427 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 This would make a great carrier for a race car. Over the years I remember lots of these converted to covered ramp trucks with altereds or roadsters in the back. Maybe slightly weathered paint to match the race car. I'm thinking purplicious.
tooltas Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 camper think blue bird bus or a tour bus, rockstar/ race team drivers

Bartster Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 l've been wanting one of these. My plan was to shorten it, drop it & set a blown hemi in it. M/T Sportsmans & Front Runners on Cragar Drag Stars. Bart.
crazyrichard Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 awsome love those wheels ... the way i see it if its supposed to be a take on a hotrod version do it yellow and otherwise make it into something new .. i love the carrier idea mentioned above
Yahshu Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks for the input guys keep it coming. I like the carrier idea but at $85 I don't really want to cut it up. This is what inspired be to by this kit - http://www.google.com.au/imgres?num=10&hl=en&biw=1280&bih=607&tbm=isch&tbnid=vHT8EVvozB_WkM:&imgrefurl=http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/1934,plymouth/Interesting&docid=kV53Euc46UrpPM&imgurl=http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4529829502_79e37aabd6.jpg&w=500&h=333&ei=ssqkUMLGO-rJmQXz04EY&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=322&vpy=154&dur=20&hovh=183&hovw=275&tx=169&ty=103&sig=112551028782040908489&page=1&tbnh=137&tbnw=208&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0,i:72 I do have a Ross Gibson 383 long ram that I'm toying with but a blown HEMI, I'm a liken the sounds of that.

JasonFL Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 yes thats understandable .. bit pricey .. i really like your example ... this also looks way cool > stylewise i mean . I think Bart had the right idea, drop it and throw a hemi in there. This bus that Rich posted is one of my favorites. Here's some other favorites of mine I think would be a really cool idea for a build. I know these are yellow but you don't have to paint them the same way. This is the one Foose Overhauled for John Force
crazyrichard Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I think Bart had the right idea, drop it and throw a hemi in there. This bus that Rich posted is one of my favorites. Here's lol and the green one you posted i also found but did not post because it was a whole lot smaller and a rendering .. but that green one is soooo cooolll , scool bus meets airstream meets hotrod
1320wayne Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I picked up one of these to do something in this style. Maybe not as radical a chop but something along those lines. All of the above ideas look good.
