Edsel-Dan
Does this one only offer the white & black side as opposite sides? I though the box said it could be done as Either version. Or was that the previous issue of the Royal ??
chadrob30
This new reissue only has the one black/one white decal which I didn't know when I bought it. I'll probably build this as a street/strip kit. I figured it would at least have slicks and headers.
Rob Hall
Interesting...I've only had the stock version of the Revell '66 GTO, never had this one....looks like it has the Hurst wheels, decals and figure but no slicks or drag parts.. chadrob30
Yea, basically a stock '66 with fancy decals and a tiger.
XJ6
I went into my stash....and found my kit of the Royal Pontiac '66 GTO "GeeTO TIGER"...Kit No.4167 released 1999...and the kits are not the same...My tires have the red lines.....(other has Decals).....speaking of decals.....the ones you have pictured are a lot different then the ones i have...mine have the Gold lettering with a black back ground (just around the lettering)...and also comes with Gold lettering with a white back ground.....to be applied on the side of the car....either painted Black (along the side...gold else where) for the Gold & Black decals.....or painted white for the Gold and white GeeTo Tiger decals...for which it has a template for the painting of the sides... Interesting how these kits can vary.... Could you post a pic of the Box Art..... Well Cheers....Don..

Rob Hall
There must have been multiple cars or repaints of the same car in 1:1, there are pics out there of a '66 GeeTO Tiger w/ white side panel graphics, black panel graphics, wheels w/ gold spokes, Hurst mags, Pontiac Rally II mags, a non-stock hood scoop, etc.. Correct, it was a multiple car team. 2 cars painted kinda similar - one with white side panels and one with black side panels
