OLDSGUY
I wasn't looking for a truck.it was a 4 door car and possibly had several grilles for the different years.the cost was $110.00 plus shipping from a vendor in Pennsylvania.the dodge model would be a d24.the description also mentioned using the 1941 Plymouth as a donor kit[amt/ertl]. Casey
I think it might be Frontier Resin Design who made it, Roger, but not totally sure. They are located in Duquesne, PA: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1940-ford-panel-ran-till-47-/331056246905?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4d147d7079
Chuck Most
I thought you might have seen the Motor City '41 Plymouth four door body someone mistakenly listed as a '46 Dodge, but after checking it out that must not be the case- The Motor City Plymouth does (obviously) use the AMT '41 Plymouth as a donor, but does not include different grilles, costs much less than $110, and to top it off is a Plymouth. Dragon7665
http://www.rocketfin.com/resin_product.cfm?id=3880 Seems to have possibly needed a '41 plymouth kit to build it more than a curbside, and since TKM isnt in business anymore, I could see people trying to get $110 out of their dust collector... Casey
If it was a TKM kit, I don't care how badly anyone wants it, RUN AWAY AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN. They are that bad.

You might as well burn it as to spend it on ANY TKM ANYTHING!!!! Just BAD NEWS all around!!!! Stay AWAY!!!!!!
Greg Wann
It is sad too as he does have some nice subjects. His stuff looks like he never fully mixes his resin before pouring it in the mold That is not the only problem.
jeffb
tkm is more folk art than anything else. a number of years ago i was in conversations with a guy overseas that had mastered a 46 dodge. but he had some bad dealings with another american caster and decided he didnt trust anyone stateside to cast for him. realgone58
I think the one you are referring to is Frontier's 46-8 DeSoto 4 door. There is currently one on the bay for a buck ten.
