slammedi'am Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Had a wild hair the other day and this happened...Wasnt planned or nothing....Gonna be using the 427 from the Fairlane kit for engine... Edited March 12, 2014 by slammedi'am
slusher Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 WOW, great paint Shane. I was wondering what you would be building next...
JabMan Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Love the paint job, did you add extra metal flake to the paint?
Skydime Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Yeah, that's some funky paint! I definitely like it. When you add some BMF, it's really gonna set this off. And I would absolutely try to dial in that exact stance. The rake on it is perfect. Edited February 27, 2014 by Skydime
slammedi'am Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks everyone.... The flakes are from the Duplicolor clear effex they have out..... Pretty much can do it over any color
freakshow12 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I am guessing at this point the engine bay is not in. You have some work ahead to get the nose down that far on stock suspension and those tires. I hope you get it though as it looks sweet
slammedi'am Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 The engine bay is in.....Only thing not glued is the rad support....I flipped the spindles to get it this low
freakshow12 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Oh yeah. This kit has those long spindles. Been a while since I did one
slammedi'am Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Yup this one has them...Same as the Fairlane kit
oldnslow Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 an oft looked over subject, good start, like the stance and rolling stock, not a fan of the bass boat glitter, would rather have seen it as a roof panel accent, but not my car so it's what you like that counts, please continue with copious updates.
slammedi'am Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Got the body wet sanded and buffed out...Also got the BMF done and black wash...Got the interior almost done...Trying to get the engine details done
Baugher Garage Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Nice interior! I still can't get over that crazy paint! Looks so good!
customsrus Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Nice color. looks like a 70's custom paint job. oh yeah and the rest of the build looks killer also. keep up the crazy work. Is the effects paint lacquer or enamel?
slammedi'am Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks everyone John,Ill have to check it when I get home...Cant remember off the top of my head
