Wife is going away from Wed - Sun.  I think I'll haul out my Stones, Neil Young, Dylan, Incredible String Band Albums, along with a few others and have a "Wife Don't Like'em" Marathon!

Sounds like you'll be "Having a Record Year."

(That's a current country song, if you haven't heard it. Sounds like you'd like it.)

Did you enjoy yourself last night dear, how was the show?

You know that I don't mind it when you go

I understand sometimes we all need time alone

but why do you always leave your ring at home?

No Charlie Pride fans?

  • 1 month later...

So here's a tougher one.

Although the summer's gone

I'll try to carry on

Although you won't be with me

And when school is through

I'll still be loving you

Oh, nine months can be so long...

Hints: Singer was born in Colorado. Regional hit in the Southwest in late 1959. HUGE hit in South America, however - the singer became very successful there and even more so behind the Iron Curtain. Lovefordgalaxie should get this one easily.

Lookin' for a chateau, 21 rooms but one will do,

Lookin' for a chateau, 21 rooms but one will do,

I don't want to buy it, just want to rent it for an hour or two...........

West L.A. Fadeaway by the Good Ol' Grateful Dead

Here's one:

Now if I seem to be afraid
To live the life I have made in song
Well it's just that I've been losing so long

Shoot! I missed your post. My Dad took me to see Charlie Pride when I was 8 years old at Radio City Music Hall. I knew all the songs and most of the words to them. I was a huge fan. Greatest night of my young life, I was hooked on live music forever.

On a burning bridge your options are minimal at best,

Depending on where you're standing and how much breath is in your chest,

If it came down to it, would you hie-tail home and hide,

Or catch on fire and enjoy the ride?

:)

This one was Pendulous Thread by Incubus.......

Man, you guys put up some tough songs. I might be out of my league.

I bet you could stump us with some obscure Dead lyrics........ ;)

BTW this was These Days written by a sixteen year old Jackson Browne for Nico.

Here's another one you guys can try:

She wears an Egyptian ring

That sparkles before she speaks

She's a hypnotist collector

You are a walking antique

Not many Bob Dylan songs being shown here.

I'm still nuts about Blood On The Tracks from '75.

Early one morning the sun was shinin'....

Good one.
