Hi everyone,

I'm planning to build a 1:35 WWll Gaz-AA Polutorka and i will like to know where i can find the Rusian green base color....... I want to build a winter or summer suply transport.......... this will be my first military model. I will appreciate any feedback.

Fine Scale Modelers forum would be a better source for you I think.

Try here: http://armorama.kitmaker.net/ There is even a specific Russian/Soviet Forum dealing only in Russian military equipment. Good luck with your project, and post some pics when you get started.

DO NOT freak out about the correct shade of "Russian Green". The color, 4BO green, has been has been the subject of unending debate by modellers since the end of WWII.

My choices are, in no particular order:

ModelMaster Acryl "Russian Green".

Tamiya "NATO Green" with a dab of "Dark Yellow".

Tamiya "Olive Green" 65% with "Dark Yellow" 35%.

If you spray bomb, Krylon's "Italian Olive" is as good as any.

You are wright.......... I have checked a lot of others military forums and I notice....... an endless debate.
