Hey guys, I am new here and I just recently got back into model building. After looking endlessly for a nice set of drag radials I decided to make my own. I made a whole set and with the process I use they all turned out very consistently.. Was just trying to see if anyone else is interested in these types of tires as they are easy for me to make. To answer questions, No, I am not cutting them with any type of blade. Here are some pics of a 70 mustang I built. first pic is with the stock tire and the second pic is with a set of redials I custom made.. Let me know what you guys think.. BTW sorry for the dusty model, I just made these tires since I started modeling again and pulled out an old model to see how they look. LOL all the excitement I forgot to clean the thing..

Those drag radials are lookin' good Dennis, but the sidewalls need to be cleaned up a bit, maybe with some Armorall.

Thanks for the compliment and suggestion. these tires were originally just a normal set of "stock car" " Nascar" tires that had the Goodyear lettering on the sides. So I decided to take the letters off. As far as the sidewalls and armorall. You think the side walls would look better shiney? I can do that :)..

Those look nice and should fill a void in the modeling world. A resin caster was working on a set of those but not sure if they have made it to market yet.

I am sure you will get some inquiries as to price and availability soon.

Great job on the conversion.

Nice work Dennis. Ma's resin has two versions of drag radials available one M/T and another Hoosier both in varying sizes.

Very cool man. How did you make them, that's what I want to know. But if you decide to sell them put me down for several pair now.

I just got 2 sets of that type of M/Ts from mas resin 325/50 15s and 2 sets of 275/5015s. They are amazing. I ordered in April and just got them Monday Look for them in my super bee wip shortly

My only issue is that they could be bigger

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. What size tire is everyone interested in? The same as what I have in the pics or does someone have a specific slick in mind they would like me to play with..

Here is a Picture of what the current Drag radials were.. If anyone has any of these tires or knows where I can get some please let me know as I am collecting them. Thanks.

Just keeping you guys posted. I am currently trying to find a worth while supply of tires to make these drag radials. Once I have nailed down a deal that will allow me to get these to you guys for a reasonable price then I will definitely let you guys know. Speaking of prices What is it people are looking to pay for this type of tire? Say for a "10.5 wide on 15" rim" Drag radial. I have a price in mind as to what I think is very reasonable but would like some feed back from you guys. Thanks..

I've got a bunch of these, are the ones you're using hollow or solid? I have both. Give me a call.
