  11. Hello all , I usually take my models in the clear display cases , wired tied the models to base . My issues , this way I take them breaks down my models chassis and very time consuming to setup and cleanup at shows . I build 1/24 scale models , usually travel from 45 minutes to 2 hours , once took a 5 hour trip . > how do you guys transport models to shows safely ? > any tips , materials , stores ? Any help will be greatly appreciated , two shows coming up in april and may , want to take alot of models .
  12. ^ thanks all !! ... For frame , I only have one pick , I need to finish all bodywork , and interior tub so I can start frame ... Im keeping the bed the way you see it , you will see frame bend up to clear suspension and wells open to see tires ... Running into trouble for header clearance and engine fitment ... Cant really find photos online of body dropped duallys with big engines so I can get a better idea on design front frame ... Google sucks ... I get lots of mini trucks but not the same...
  13. ... The long bed ....... I cut up an old bed , the two pieces added after cleaned up are 0.8 cm for rear piece , and 2 cm for front piece..... From front of bed , I measured up to 1.5 cm , thats were I separated bed in front to add the 2 cm extra piece , and for rear , I started at the tip of the end of bed measured 1.3 cm in , and separated bed there to add 0.8 cm extra piece ..... Now , this is very tricky to make even ... You have the inner bed , and the outter skin of the bed ... Both have to be as even as possible so when you line up the body you can glue it together to have the best bond , strength , and least body work... Took me a few hours of sanding and filing to get as even as possible .. So ADD A LITTLE BIT MORE TO THESE NUMBERS TO LEAVE ROOM FOR ERROR WHEN SANDING ....... Do not cut wheel well areas Message me if anything , hope this helps you .
  14. ..ok .... For cab , I extended it 1 cm .... I cut the extended window door right in in the middle , once I separated the two pieces , I cut just over 1 cm off extra cab to keep same shape , tricky part is like I said before is cutting it even as possible to have less sanding to do and a even cab all around ... Make sure everything is measured equally before glueing cab pieces together... With your cab now , I would section out the middle of your rear doors but separate or cut all the way around as if your splitting cab in half , your rear door windows should be 3 cm wide , measure from left to right , but has to be the middle of the window to measure , or you can measure the 3rd door lines , your new door width from left to right should be 3.6 cm
