  1. In 2010 I finished about 50 models, in 2011 that number decreased to about 30 and in 2012 I only finished about 15 models. Well, hopefully quality has gotten better along the way. Without further ado, heres my finished models of 2012: '70 Torino I built this model for a dads friend who owned the 1:1. I had to chance the rims, seats, engine and transmission. Somehow I managed to spend almost a year doing this. Certainly not one of my favourite builds. Next, a Monogram '70 Roadrunner rebuild. Before: After: Lancia Stratos Safari rally, Italeri: Jo-Han Rambler SC: Let me know what you think, more coming soon.
  2. Thanks! American: "normal" european bumper:
  3. Thanks steven! I'm not quite sure what I will do with the other e21, but it will surely be a challenge, 'cause there are a lot of parts missing.
  4. Hi again! This is my newest build, an e21 bimmer, built from a 1979 Revell kit. The kit itself is quite nice, apart from some minor fitting problems and those horrible USA model bumpers. I've never been a huge BMW fan, but some of these older ones look quite good. Especially the older 6-series e24:s are beautiful. And I think that this e21 with its Turbocharger, BBS rims, spoilers and Fender flares is an excellent icon of its own age. (That engine bay is WAY too clean, I probaply have to do something about it...) And heres my next Bimmer -project, which will be something completely different: Commets are welcome!
  5. Thats some intense scratch-building you did there, Great job! Vista Cruiser has always been my favourite Olds.
  6. Rambler SC, slightly modified Testors kit. Revell Pro-Modeler '70 Torino, Built for dads friend who owned the 1:1. Lancia Stratos, Italeri kit. And finally, '56 Box Stock AMT Crown Vic. That's all folks! Comments are welcome!
  7. This BMW 518 is modified from a Fujimi Alpina B10. Built in christmas 2011. '57 Chrysler. Box-stock AMT kit. Audi A4 DTM. Box-stock Revell kit. I've always liked Audis, Its a shame there aren't mant kits of them available. Jo-han '69 Roadrunner. My dad built this kit for the first time in the 80s. I've already rebuilt it twice. More to come...
  8. Hi everyone! School has been keeping me busy for last few weeks and I haven't been able to concentrate on building new models, so I decided to show you some of my older builds. This Buick was built in summer 2010. Pretty much box-stock build. Next up, my first show-winner, '69 Talladega. Built in winter 2011. This Challenger is actually one of my favourite builds ever. The slant-six engine and wheels are from a lindberg dodge 330. '71 Duster built from a AMT kit.
  9. Wow! That's one awesome Ranchero. Its a shame there aren't more models of these cool pickups out there.
  10. Thanks Doc & Patrik! I've seen the Capri you're talkin 'bout, but thanks for reminding me. I'll propably find the pics myself if i need them. Im not going to make a detailed chassis on this model, I'll focus on the engine bay and Interior Instead. I made some progress on the model. I went medieval with the kits chassis plate, and now i can start working on the engine bay. I also started modifying the grille.
  11. Lotus has always been my favourite european car manufacturer. They have always managed to create awesome and fast cars by making them light: ...or just by doubling the power: (If i could get that engine and bodykit for my Omega, i could die a happy man...) So, what If Lotus had produced a special version of Ford Capri? Couple of weeks ago I received this Doysha kit: When I bought the kit, I knew It would not be excactly top-of-the-notch quality, but still I was quite shocked when I first opened the box. Chassis is terrible: Interior is non-existent and grille is unusable: There wasn't any kind of engine in the kit, but I'm going to use this resin Lotus Engine: The Kit wheels are as terrible as rest of the kit, so im using these wheels: Rims are from Hasegawa Stratos and tires are from Fujimi 911. Body is cleaned and primed. I already cut open the hood: The Body will be painted white with black hood. Maybe some green stripes? But First I need to scratch build the Interior and Engine bay.... Comments and suggestions are welcome!
  12. Wow! Thats some good looking stuff youre doing. Keep up the good work! Dashboard looks excellent.
  13. Wow! Thanks for your kind words, guys! I'll soon upload one of my WIP:s to the "on the workbench" -section. Stay tuned!
  14. Thanks lads! Cavemanx: I have heard lots of different opinions about the painting of underside of mopars, and currently I prefer this "matt black with body colured overspray" -scheme. I've heard that Mopars of this age left the factory with this kind of paint scheme. It is of course possible that im wrong.
  15. Nice looking rides! Back in '93 my dad traded his 1973 El Camino (396+Man.) to this '70 Barracuda (Originally slant six car, at the time it had 360). (yep, the egine bay really was that funky coloured ) The model is one of my older ones, and im not 100% happy with it. I used some imagination to make it more "interesting", for example, my dads car really didnt have bullet holes in it... The car itself currently sits in my dads garage in pieces waiting for restoration. The 360 will be replaced with 340+man. We havent made a lot of progress on it in past few years, but we havent forgotten about the ol' fish! If, and when, we get the car done, i will make a new model of it.
  16. The Charger was built as a street machine with 426 Hemi cross-ram and 4 speed. Detailing is pretty much the same as in the Dart. Rear tyres are from a Trumpeter Falcon. Comments are always welcome!
  17. Hi folks! Firstly, I want to apologise for my terrible english. Secondly, I'm a new guy at this forum, so let me tell you something about myself. I'm a 17-year old Finnish kid, and i've been building model cars for about four years. (I built some airplanes and ships when I was younger, but since I didnt know even the basic tehniques, they werent that great) I just recently finished my 150th (properly built) model. Most of them are cars, but there are also some planes and even a one Star Trek ship! Altough modeling is my most important hobby, I also like to work with 1:1 scale vehicles. I have couple of bikes, a '72 Honda CB-100 and a '73 Honda CB-125. I also recently bought my first car, '92 Opel Omega 3000 24V. I know, its old and rusty, but I love it. But enough about me, Its the models you came here for. Here they are: Both Dodges are Revell "special edition" -kits. I built The Dart to represent a completely stock GTS with 440 Magnum+ automatic transmission. Model was painted using Maston -spray paints. I added spark plug wires and fuel and brake lines. I also added old style black Finnish plates. I cut open the trunk door and added a spare tyre. The trunk mat is made out of some strange envelope paper i found somewhere.
