  1. Fantastic details someone should make a kit of this . I would have one for sure
  2. Mike if you look at the side on picture you can see that the front wheel is very nearly touching the fender and if I turn the wheel L/R it hits . The wheels and tires have been changed to 1/24th but that shouldn't change the lenth of the chassis ? . I haven't got as far as fitting the driveshaft but I have changed the engine to the smaller 340ci so I will have to check that
  3. John thanks for the heads up about the screen. I think that I will be replaceing the glass now . Yes there seems to me a lot of difference between the two hoods .
  4. Really liking The finish on he paint and all the tiny details you have done.
  5. Thanks Lloyd / Dan . I have to get the hood filled and sanded out so I can get it off to John the painter . Thankfully I still have some of the original paint to do it . Then I have to get the interior painted. Then I have to try to sort out the little problem of the wheel base being to long . But after looking at other builds of this kit it looks like I may just have to put up with it...?
  6. Nice looking Charger . But I'm afraid your front bumper is upside down
  7. Thanks Bill / Joseph
  8. Thanks Steven I think I will stick with white That's not the nicest 50's interior ive ever seen is it
  9. Thanks Bill
  10. Thank you Bill I have got to paint the rear valance under the rear bumper as I forgot to do it. I cant remember what the colour is but its a nail polish. Plus I am sticking with the stock wheels . I have painted the underside red oxide primer but looking at yours you have it black . Should I repaint mine ?
  11. thanks Dale I was leaning towards just doing white and chrome
  12. Well after a long while I did finally get around to the foiling on the Buick . Unfortunately the Buick has stalled as I don't know what to do with the interior? Do I go with all white or lavender ? Or a bit of both like stock trim. I'm also not sure if I should go with the stock wheels or custom? Comments welcomed good or bad
  13. I like what your doing Richard . One little thing though A dead tree would not drop leaves.......?
  14. I guess its just me with the problem Jesse
  15. Nice work Rich I like both but Rob and Mike are right the rounded shape of the hood does not work . If it was on a square flat hood or the side of a body it would work great
  16. Just added a post Skip just for you
  17. Here is the 72 hood next to the 74 hood. I just have to add the peak down the middle and fill the centre part of the vent. You can see the different shape of the front which is where I had problems fitting the 74 hood . Plus it is a lot thicker than the 72 hood . Which ment it stood proud of the body once the bumper was added. Comments welcome
  18. Thanks everyone for your feedback . Don't worry though I wont be binning my models they cost to much to replace I guess I'm in one of those low spots that we all get from time to time . The Buick has stalled and the Charger needs to have a new hood painted dew to a poor fit. But I'm sure normal service will resume shortly. Thanks again EVERYONE Dave
  19. No need for improvement .....! Love it
  20. I have got two builds going (72 Charger copy and 59 Buick) and I have noticed that there seems to be hardly any interest in both ! . This got me thinking that I have either upset most of the other builders or nobody is interested in me or my builds? I did change my user name from Doobie to 72 Charger because I found out that Doobie ( A nickname given to me by a friend) has a drug link and as I don't have anything to do with that sort of thing I felt it prudent to change it. I started the 1959 Buick build as a test to see if it was just the fact that the Dodge Charger was not a big flash R/T or HEMI car . So far it seams that no one is interested in commenting good OR bad on either build So this leads me to think that everyone is simply avoiding me and my builds for some reason . If this is true could someone enlighten me as to the problem they have with me . I have always been polite towards others builds and I have been a good trader . I love this hobby and have done now for 30 years and I did feel like a part of a big family . At the moment I feel like I have been snubbed and I am ready to throw all my models in the bin Thanks Dave (72 Charger)
  21. Apart from the location tabs on the battery boxes and the tabs on the rear of the sleeper cab.....! Just messing nice build
  22. Hi Mike thanks yes the rims look loads better than just painted . the Missing link bumper is about 2mm to wide for the body. But the rear bumper fits a treat go figure? The vents at the rear of the 72 hood needs to have a small bit filled in the middle and it is a lot thinner plastic than the 74 hood. Plus the 74 hood has a different shape at the front edge. Not a major problem I just have to go and see John the painter to match the paint once the bodywork is complete. I'm still not sure about the tires they look to big for the front and they hit the front apron so I may have to try to get 1/25th not 1/24. I am not sure but the wheels don't line up in the fenders to well like the wheel base is to long. Anyone have any ideas on how to shorten it?
