Thanks, the V8 swap is pretty common now, Car Craft magazine did one with a Tuned Port 350 that I think is going to be smog legal. They even showed a book that shows you how to do the swap and what parts you need.

Thanks everyone! If you have not built something that isn't shiny, try it. If you stuck in a modeling slump it's nice to work on someting you don't have to worry about messing up or scratching. A lot of times I have more fun on builds like this, you can try new techniques and if you mess up you learn...or just add more rust to cover it up!

Thanks! Jonathan-The 4X4 S10 is a promotional model I detailed Charlie- Yep, I used Pledge to shine up the purple S10 and a small detail brush and some Testor's brush silver to paint the ZR2 logos Daniel- I used detail master line that I wrapped around a toothpick to get the coils

Older build, painted Testor's Copper, shaved handels, static drop on stock suspension, wheels and tires from the Revell 1969 Nova Bed cover is made out of an old notebook cover Motor is also out of the 1969 Nova Side exhaust to help the v8 breath a little better

Thanks Jeremy and Tyrone!, the M/T logos are actually free hand. The tires are goodyear nascars with the logos facing in. I sanded the outside then used a Jelly Roll white pen( you can get them at Michaels) to make the logos( it will dry on the vinyl)

I have had this model for a while, built it once as a kid, then twice as a tubbed drag car, now age and glue decided it's fate as weathering practice I think the paint is Testor's Artic blue, grey primer, and the red is cheapo parts store brand I used aluminum duct foil on the door to make it look like bare metal, as if some one was starting to remove the paint Decided not to put a motor in this one. I added a leftover radiator and paint detailing, also adjusted the stanced to sit higher in the front Inside is various parts off the car, you can see where some one cut a hole in the floor for a 4-speed transmission swap One of my favorite parts of this car, I actually cut the quarter panel off and glued it back on to make it look like someone spotted welded a replacement on Underside is rough, exhaust is hanging, dirt grime and rust, muffler missing Looks like the owner isn't ready to let this one go!
