  1. Ooo the fins make me happy. I love it!
  2. Hehe I've learned my lesson. I'm going to pick up a spill resistant keyboard from BestBuy for about $15
  3. Lots of airbrushing!

  4. Thank you Andrew and Byron, I appreciate the kind comments. I got the body lines to match up...FINALLY!
  5. Thanks alot Bill! I'll send him the link. As far as what parts...I'm not sure. I talked to him last night and told him I'd like to build a model for him to mirror his car and we just started talking about it. He said he was having a really hard time finding parts. P.S. Woohoo! I have question marks again!! ???????
  6. UPDATE: I've done quite a bit of body work on the cowls and will have it back in primer when the sun comes up. I'll post pics in a bit.
  7. Looken better and better with every update Ira. Good job
  8. My brother-in-law has a 1984 Mustang SVO that was broken into and vandalized. I've made it my mission to find him a place where he can get genuine FoMoCo parts at a reasonable price. It is his wish to stay away from aftermarket as he bought it brand new in '84 and wants to keep it all original. Do any of you car enthusiasts or professional restorers/body techs have a place you can direct me to get the parts I'm hoping for places similar to LMC or Jegs. P.S. My daughter spilled root beer on my keyboard so I have no question mark anymore. =(
  9. Lovin' the details! That LED in the engine is perfect for it. Great job.
  10. That engine compartment looks amazing Corey! Great job, keep it up!
  11. Looking too awesome Ira. You need to tone it down a bit. =p
  12. Lookin' awesome Brandon! Keep it up!
  13. Great job Corey! This car looks amazing!
  14. It's looking good! Wanting to see more.
  15. I'm totally speechless!
  16. Thanks Corey, I'm really taking inspiration from "Project 57"
  17. I think what I'm looking for is the LS7 as pictured below. I did a Google search for the LS9 and it is sweet looking, but not quite the look i'm hoping for.
  18. I truly appreciate the offer, but my goal with this kit is to make it work the way I got it. It's a challenge, but I'm up for it. =) I think it will only make me a better builder as I'm fairly new to the hobby.
  19. I agree I agree with this too. The rear end could use a little more attention I think. Edit: I don't mean to take away from the work you have already done. You have done a wonderful job and have done a lot of work. It's looking great so far.
  20. That's what I tried, but obviously didn't work out well. It's probably due to my shaky hands from drinking a gal. of coffee a day. Sooo... I have a new idea and I think I'm going to stick with it. First, I should tell you all that I sanded those nasty looking body lines off and saw that my body lines for the coves are slightly off and will need a little work. Second, I'm going to leave it at that. I'm sure all of you have seen the movie "Cars" from Disney/Pixar. Lightning McQueen was painted with the '57 Corvette scheme and he didn't have any trim around the coves. At this point, I think it will look better if I just do the body work and make the coves look perfect with sharp edges and just paint it with no trim. Below are a couple pics of the sanded area around the coves. You can see that there is a little tweaking to do, but are, for the most part, straight. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. I hope you enjoy. Jon Edit: I forgot to mention that I'll do a little painted pin stripe where the trim would normally go.
  21. AC/DC's Back In Black just popped in my head. Awesome work on this one! I'm dying to see it all put together.
  22. Jeff and Pat, I thank you for the tips and will seriously take them into consideration. Dave, I appreciate the comment. What my plan is for this car is to make it sort of a custom Sunday cruiser type of car. It's a car you leave in your garage and only drive it once in a great while. I was even considering purchasing a model of the 2012 Corvette just to steal the engine. lol
