After collecting several kits and random items from storage, I came accross one of my older builds. The Dart. (67 or 68?) Built as something that would be seen at the local track, it got a shot of gray primer and a flat black hood. First car I ever put anything aftermarket on (oh man! air cleaner! lol) and swapped on a set of wheels from ??? I forget lol. i'll like to "finish" it someday with a firewall, and a front bumper, headers and such, maybe even a new motor. But rather than keep making progress little by little on several builds...I I figured I'd take a good 2 or 3 and run for the hills. Keep in mind, this is circa 1998 or 1999 IIRC.

Bodied LUV

hopefully lol! going to be a simple chassis build and nothing crazy detailed. Just a fun "lay it out" project. I also have an LS2 that will be the powerplant. Von or "loasian" of Negative Camber (runs Loadies Customs in Iowa) and his Scout is the immediate inspiration for this build. Inspiration: -

thanks! I'm liking the red, but i'm still leaning towards yellow lol -
i actually believe I caught wind of that! yeah, I've seen a few cars that bodied here and there. There's a civic HB from Texas (last I saw) on 18/20 chrome wheels (I actually think it was resurected and is drivable). It's unibodydropped.

Did some organizing finally. down underneath the desk are two long two drawer file cabinets. One contains the stash of kits in the bottom, top contains misc items. The to the left (which is directly below what you see in these pics) contains truck parts lol

So while searching the land of eBay, I came upon this already built LUV. While "built" i could tell it would be a great one that I wouldn't feel terrible about tearing apart. Attached are 2 pics from a current eBay auction for an open box kit of the Monogram Chevy LUV Stepsider kit. Here's the pics of mine as i received it and the direction I'm going with it. I would luv (LOL) to score a fleetside bed however. I've since stripped the paint and pulled the glass along with detached the rear fenders as well. Out of the box. left front suspension set back in place. boy this thing is high wheel change to 14 inch steelies, front down a bit. Disassembled from chassis. how it will sit on the rollers

yeah, so very true. Mind is swarming regarding suspension on the cars and such. but for now, got a set of the pegasus sleeves and experimented a bit with the resin ralley's. Also got some color on the cab and hood. still need to polish it out, will do so after I spray the roof XXXXX color -
I would love to find one of these kits and build a replica of my first car cruised this in high school before getting my first truck dumped on 15 inch ASA JS1's on 205/50/15's lol

These parts are from Dirt Modeler (http://www.mudfleas.com/Store/) and RBMotion (www.rbmotion.com) Thanks for the good words. got some black laid on the cab and hood over the weekend.
