  1. if you cant find what you looking for. Terry at STS can hook you up. all you need is a picture. waiting time 2 to 6 weeks. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://stsdecals.com/&ved=2ahUKEwjozNqO6qGQAxXJkYkEHfFpDp8QFnoECBcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw234vaQjcNJTMTbEE3bQ8s1
  2. i been using Rustoleum paints for many many years with no problems. my truck builds are painted with it. i dont use Tamiya or Testors paint. i read negative comments all over this forum and groups on Facebook. clogging nozzles are an issue, but if you look on the back of the can their is a phone # that you can call and request spray nozzles. they will be glad to send them to you at no cost, free shipping. i get 30 at a time an i may change the nozzles 2-3 times if the can has set up while spraying. another thing you got to do with these big cans shake the heck out of them. new can 3 minuets by the clock no less..once it gets down half way you can drop that to 2 minuets unless it has been sating up for a while then fall back to your 3 minuets. yes you gonna think your arms are gonna fall off like mine but that's the way i do it with no problems. some say it remains tacky for days. it could not be shook up well enough or your spraying when the conditions are not right. i dont have that problem. for you outside painters bring that paint in if its cool the day before and let it warm up..
  3. what i would do is cut and paint some thin plastruct or evergreen then apply the Decals to it. that way you know they will not peel off later and look way better hanging as signs.
  4. Brian i started another Mack R that will be pulling it. i guess i need to start another post and show it.
  5. woops i see one of my hood bolts fell out.. gonna fire that mechanic..lol
  6. Been working on this off & on for a few months. everything has been painted. the hardest part so far was adding the small engine cover bolts. cylinder shaft are made with uxcell 304 Stainless Steel and inter K&S tubing. looks way more better than any painted or bare metal foil plastic. i had to use two different size as i could not find the right OD & ID in the same size tubing. mounted cylinders beside the blade and cylinders on each side of the pivot point. installed the log grapples, added decals. i just temporary pined the two half's together sat the cab , winch, blade & tires on it to see what it looks like. a 3/16 brass rod runs thru the axles to inside the tires. sure gonna be hard for me to dirty it up...lol..still a long way to go.
  7. respectfully disagree with me... did you read the part that i said you got to sand it ??...his rims was what i was talking about and their is nothing you can do with them but sand the letters off that's just the way a lot of 3D looks. i should have said that in my post so even you would understand that. i also have a lot of 3D parts that required none to little sanding. the rims you have are not raised letters they are counter sunk inside the rim for easy clean up. also if you have never bought anything big like printed trucks or cars beware who you buy from or you will see what sanding 3D parts id all about.
  8. their is nothing you can do if you want the raised lettering. that is just the way 3D printing looks. you gotta sand it. if you buy them do as Bill said said..
  9. that is Awesome..cant wait to see the trailer hooked up to it..
  10. get you some Canopy Glue (Amazon) and you want have that problem. brush it on place your windshield. with a wet brush you can clean up any on the edge. if you have a problem installing it an any of the glue gets all over it you can wash it off under warm to hot water. wipe down with something soft. i have had to do this before with my shaking hands..
  11. Welcome back Michael..
