  7. started this a few weeks back. i decided on a 3 rear axle set up. the MP8 & back cab panel are from ST Supply Co. tires, rims, winch tower, 5th wheel & tail roller are from Cults.
  8. Ron its been 3 years since i worked on it. my neck got to bothering me and had to have surgery on it. i been building smaller models (ck out my service truck in lite commercial) its so hard for me to get back on a build that i had to stop on. im working on a Mack Superliner Heavy Haul now , but when finished it will go back on the table..
  9. that had to take you a few day to come up with all that to cut Rust- Oleum paint down.. 15 coats..wow..i only spray 4..☺️
  10. i have a can of Rust Oleum metallic and find it dont do well on small parts as you got to really lay it on to get a shine. also you gotta shake it at least 3-4 minuets. works great on large parts. i did these rims with it. here is a tip for you, look on the can and call the 1 800 # and request extra tips. i use a lot of their paint and get 30 at a time. they know they have a problem with them...get you some Rust Oleum aluminum that's what you need. these parts on my MP8 engine was sprayed with it..https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BWOS80?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
  11. CA glue (super glue) thick or a medium will do the trick.
  12. that is one thing i will never do is tell someone what kind of paint to use or cut them down, laugh at them for the brand they using. but they a lot out their that love to cut Rustoleum paints down. i have won a lot of contest here in the south with my trucks all painted with yep you guessed it Rustoleum.☺️
  13. GoGo the problem is not the paint its the spray tips and rustoleum know this. they is a 1 800 # on the can. call them and tell you need tips. the old cans you could turn upside down to blow out the tips new ones you cant. ether change them out or soak in lacquer thinner and blow out with a can of air. i get them to send me 30 at a time...
  14. im old school. i been using Rustoleum paints for many years. i know how it sprays. i know the tips clog up, they do to. they is a 1 800 # on the can you can call they will send you extra tips . why would i want to change paint if it works for me..kinda like a good wife why swap her out..everyone talks about Tamiya paint thats why everyone buys it and all its products. the reason Rustoleum has a bad name people like to run their mouth on hear say 90 % never even tried it. you use the paint brand you like but dont try to get me to change. i like what i use just fine and get way more fore my money..
  15. thanks Victor. Yes 3D has came a long ways in such a short time and will be the future of the Hobby.
