  1. A man comes home one night thoroughly intoxicated. He doesn't want his wife to know, so he slowly creeps up the stairs toward the bedroom. Unfortunatly, he slips and lands on the beer he is holding and breaks the bottle all to pieces. His butt is very cut up so he goes to the bathroom, gets out some bandaids, and carefully covers each and every cut. Finaly, he sneeks into bed. When he wakes up in the morning, his wife is furious and asks if he had been drinking. He is understandably surprized, and askes how she had possibly known? She replied- "Well, my first hint was the blood all over the sheets, the next one was the beer all over the stairs, and the clincher was the bandaids all over the bathroom mirror!"
  2. Awesome build, always good to see some F1 on the forum.
  3. Dang, those flames look great. I have been wanting to try a paint job like this for a while, just haven't had the right project going yet. Looks like it will come out awesome, keep it up.
  4. Looking great guys. Just wanted to say I am still here, just finishing up a current project before I start my Viper. I do have the kit now though and can hopefully start it within the month.
  5. That's pretty cool, definately an original idea.
  6. Dang right CadillacPat, that really is how kids see it now adays. A lot of the kids I go to school with can't understand how someone can have enough money to own a few nice things, and even more they feel like they should have them to for nothing! It amazes me to know end how angry kids get when someone makes a bunch of money by working for it, and they just demonize them for what they have earned. You bring something nice around, chances are it will get stolen or destroyed, and nothing will happen about it. It's sad but true.
  7. I once came out of my high school to find the drivers side window of my truck smashed out. Luckily, they took my bowling ball (I had a league after school that day), and left the Ipod that was sitting in a tray in my dash. It honestly made me sick to see something, even this small, happen to the truck I had put countless hours of work and care into. Even though to most people it is still a beater, I was ready to kill the idiot who did it and then some. I didn't even bother reporting it to administration, since the city is so scared of pissing off the gangs they would have just let it go anyway. At some point it just seems like you have to take matters into your own hands, but then again I'm sure I would have ended up with the heafty punishment they deserved. It really sucks that things like this have to happen, but that is the reality in to today's world, no respect for the possessions of others.
  8. Wow, crazy to think of all the things that can be done. It will be interesting to see how this evolves and if the art of scratchbuilding a part is eventualy lost. If you can just draw it on a computer and print it, will it be considered in the same esteem as a scratchbuilt part, or will this open a whole new category of building techniques? I'm sure it is difficult to explain, but it should be interesting to see what the future holds.
  9. Now the Stingray concept is exactly what they should have put out to begin with. It seems like it takes a lot of styling ideas from the previous vettes, and overall just has an awesome look to it. When I first saw pictures of this car I thought it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen, and in my opinion should have been the C7 design. If this was actualy produced, I would love to own one.
  10. I honestly have to say I like the new design, and I was super hyped up about the new 7-speed (ya, the number 7) manual trans. However I read on another site that it will still automaticaly shift under relaxed driving conditions to meet the dreaded "government fuel economy stardards". What a joke, a manual trans that shifts itself, really? I would think those buying a corvette with a manual would not enjoy having the car shift itself when they are going down the road. Now to be fair I have only read this once, so if it is some sort of internet hoax someone please set me straight.
  11. Ya, when I screw my needle back in, there is a bit of resistance, but not like you described. I wonder if mine was just worn out when I dont it from sitting in storage or something?
  12. Thanks, I am starting to think it may be the o-ring inside then. I would hate to have to send the brush off to have it replaced, but if nothing else works I guess that is the only option. Thank you guys very much for your help, it is much appreciated.
  13. Haha, that is funny. I definately know your pain, some of the areas auto makers expect you to get your hands into are a real pain. Just remember, if you think a job will take an hour, it will probably take at least 4.
  14. Thank you guys very much for your help so far. It will sputter just the same when spraying straight thinner, which leads me to believe something must be clogged. It has been doing this since new, so is it possible one of the air ports is plugged up? If so, what is a foolproof way to clear them? I always shoot thinner through after a paint session, so should I be spraying at a higher pressure, say 30-40 psi?
  15. No, I don't believe it is water since I am getting a few paint spots when it sputters. I got the compresser from a friend and it has a water trap, but I am not sure how well it works. I also live in an area where the humidity is very low, if that would help in finding an answer. If I can't figure it out, I guess a new water trap is next on the list.
  16. Hey guys, I have a Badger 200 single action brush that I got new. I have been using it for about 6 months and it has always had a small sputtering problem. Over the months I have tried different things to stop it and haven't found a solution, so I was wondering if anyone had something else to try. Here is the list of what I have done: 1. Used telon tape on all of the fittings in order to seal them 2. messed with air pressure and paint consistancy 3. pulled the brush apart and cleaned it after EVERY use I use a large compressor for my painting so is it possible that it may have a leak in one of its lines? Not sure what else to try so any other options would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Ya I had the same problem, which is why my entry didn't get in the first year, but last year I was able to shrink them down. I also heard you have to photograph your reciept of purchase, which I had no idea about. I might build a car, but I'm not sure if I will enter this year, just because in the extream off chance that I do actually win, I have nowhere to put any of the prizes. My space it definately a bit limited.
  18. Wow, most of this stuff is over my head, but hopefully I can learn a bit of it soon since I am planning to got to school to be an engineer. It is amazing what these printers can do, and I hope manufactures do as suggested and start scaling things down a bit more precisely using newer technology.
  19. I have built the revell mclaren, and it was a good kit. It is definately a challenge, however, and make sure you have some decal solution to help you on the decals. They are a bit tedious, but can build up into a great looking build, so if you have a bit of experience, I say go for it!
  20. Before I found online forums, I never even knew what a good car model looked like or even that there were contests and shows. Not to mention I though my old paint jobs were good. I used to be satisfied with a mediocre build, but now I sweat the details. Why did you guys do this to me!!!
  21. Wow Harry, absolutely incredible build and explaination. Definately a build to be proud of.
  22. Just found this one. Looks great Slusher paint is smooth as usual, I really like the color choice.
  23. I have to agree with Slusher, SA does not have a very friendly policy anymore. Not saying it is not a great forum, but it is definately one of the reasons I moved over to here. The mods here seem just like regular members, rather than someone lurking around only to close threads.

    Tyrrell P34

Holy specs! Thanks for posting, lots of great info that I didn't know. Makes these cars seem even more amazing.

    Tyrrell P34

Definately, can't even wrap my head around a motor spinning at 18,000 rpm, not to mention they can get them to go up to 22,000! Add that with all of the super sensitive aero parts and you have one high tech machine. Crazy stuff.
