  2. Casting with Cheese, that should be interesting.
  3. I think it still needs more polishing.
  4. Wheres the trike?
  5. Awesome work Dave, I was wondering where you disappeared too. Do you think you will make it to the Southern NNL with this beauty in November?
  6. 18 years old right here.
  7. I love the stance mate!
  8. This could take awhile...let me go track down the encyclopedia pictures.
  9. John already answered your question, but I'd like to shed some insight on it too. As John said, JGTC (Japanese Gran Touring Championship) althought it is now referred to as Super GT because they have come stateside once in the past, and it is becoming a more international race. (Porsches, C6R's, Ford GT's, and the rest of the J-Spec cars). There are two classes, GT300 and GT500 (similar to ALMS GT1 and GT2). The car bodies are usually completely carbon fiber with widened fenders and bigger wheel arches. I love the series. I wish it would come stateside more often. The cars are amazing. Its like Japanese Le Mans almost.
  10. That is pretty cool looking. I like the shape of it. It flows really well.
  11. Not my usual build subject, but I love the way the Supert GT/JGTC cars look. This is a phantom racer after my own design, just something that could have ran in the GT500 Class of Super GT. Started out with a 1/43 diecast Toyota MR2 and just went after the body work with styrene and some putty. I wanted it to be a fastback so I took the roof from a 1/43 Eclipse and graft it on to the MR2. Here it is right before primer: Still have to finish the interior, axels, brakes, spoiler, and bellypan. But thats minor stuff that can be done quickly. Thanks for looking.
  12. Gregg goes on vacation while hes on vacation. Thats funny.
  13. Of course...Im out and I miss it.
  14. Like I told you the other day Dirk, its some fascinating stuff. I cant wait to see more. Your work reminds me of Mark Jones, or Augie Hiscano. I have a feeling, this is only your beginning. Its some great work Dirk.
  15. Shoot, I need some of those hood pins for a different build.
  16. Your name sounds very familiar. Welcome!
  17. He's alive! Those are going to be great models Gregg. The Marnello is going to be sweet.
  18. Lets see, they were 22" 1:18 wheels, so in 1/24 scale that would be 29" wheels. I didnt even think to get a picture of it. I should have though.
  19. Finally finished my very first model ever. I was in with Bob, Matt, and Wayne for the 24 Heur du Mans build. I chose to build a C5R. When I went to look for the kit I couldnt find one, but luckily a fellow builder had one so I started all my prep at the beginning of the race and finally finished 20 hours later. Here are a couple quick shoots of a pretty decent build. Nothing spectacular, but good for a first. I need some more front pics.
  20. Wrong, a few of the ACME members including myself just built models from start to finish during the 24 Heures Du Mans. If I say so myself, they look pretty ###### nice for 20 hour builds with no sleep. I'm not even going to get started on the Foose topic.
  21. Nothing is ever good enough. So I feel your pain. But, to correct the minor imperfections is what makes us happy! Look forward to seeing it finished.
  22. Come on Glenn, wheres the post for 300 users?
  23. Thanks for the link! I've only seen a couple pics of it at GSL before. It truely is a master piece.
  24. Im hoping to go see it soon.
